The Square of the Oliveira owes its name to a secular olive tree planted in this place. Surrounded by picturesque houses typically northerns, it is the ideal starting point to walk the streets of the city. But on the wide, there are a few reasons for interest to see: on the spring side, a curious gothic templete erected in the reign of D. Afonso IV, celebrates the battle of the salad, where Portuguese and Castilians won the forces of the Moorish kingdom of Granada 1340.

Church of St. Peter. This church was warranted in 1737, presenting great simplicity and an elementary architecture. In 1750 it is benzid and welcomes the image of the patron. In 1881 the works were restarted with the demolition of the temporary structures and the houses that were in front of the Church's body. The work ended in early twentieth century, without the two planned towers, but only one. The church plant is longitudinal, with chapel and single rectangular ship. The main chapel is separated from the nave by cruise arc back perfect and in it stands out the altarpiece, of blue and gold carving, still manifestation of the eclectic taste of the centers of the century. Par'izsk'a ulice turned out to be smart, lush, pretentious. Every element, every curl of the lattice, every decoration was thought out. The street was completed by two rows of trees on both sides of the roadway.

Venice as I remembered in our travels of Europe - Beautiful, amazing, unforgettable ! We were here 25 April 2017. From Wikipedia : "Piazza San Marco (Italian pronunciation: ['pjattsa sam 'marko]; Venetian: Piasa San Marco), often known in English as St Mark's Square, is the principal public square of Venice, Italy, where it is generally known just as la Piazza ("the Square"). All other urban spaces in the city (except the Piazzetta and the Piazzale Roma) are called campi ("fields"). The Piazzetta ("little Piazza/Square") is an extension of the Piazza towards San Marco basin in its south east corner. The two spaces together form the social, religious and political centre of Venice and are commonly considered together... " https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Piazza_San_Marco
