A near empty beach along Shoal Bay during Covid days - we were here on the 9th July 2020. Isolation was just lifted and travel within NSW is again allowed. Border controls are still in place between state borders. As of writing this - Victoria is again in lockdown and flare ups of COVID in NSW and other states is again on the rise. From wikipedia : Shoal Bay is the most eastern suburb of the Port Stephens local government area in the Hunter Region of New South Wales, Australia.[2] It is located on the southern shore of Port Stephens, adjacent to the bay of the same name at the entrance to the port.[7] It includes part of Tomaree National Park within its boundaries and, like other suburbs around Port Stephens, is a popular tourist destination, especially in summer months.[8] At the 2016 census the town of Shoal Bay had a population of 1,864 but the population increases significantly during tourist season... https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shoal_Bay,_New_South_Wales

Qavam House (also widely called "Narenjestan e Ghavam") is a traditional and historical house in Shiraz, Iran. It is at walking distance from the Khan Madrassa. It was built between 1879 and 1886[1] by Mirza Ibrahim Khan. The Qavam family were merchants originally from Qazvin, but they soon became active in the government during the Zand dynasty, followed by the Qajar, and Pahlavi dynasty as well. The Qavam "Naranjestan" preserves the elegance and refinement enjoyed by the upper-class families during the 19th century. The paintings on the low ceilings of the house are inspired by Victorian era Europe. The mirrored porch was a focal point of the house, overlooking a small garden that was designed with fountains, date palms, and flowering plants.

Murmansk the one and only whole year arround ice free port, despite that it is located at the arctic sea well above the arctic circle. Reason is the far reach of the warm waters of the Golf Stream.

The Norse Peak wildfire started on August 11, 2017 with lightning strikes and was not contained until November 1, 2017. The fire killed most of the hemlock, silver and noble firs in the 55,909-acre blaze. Three years from that time I hiked the Norse Peak trail to view the burn zone. The burned trees remain as sentinels, displaying a tragic beauty. The high angle alpine meadows in the burn zone along this trail are resplendent with wildflowers including lupine, paintbrush, asters, columbine, arnica lilies and more. Providing a mind-blowing show when in season. Mt. Rainier is visible on the horizon to the south west.

The main promenade was a construction site for a long time until the flood wall was completed in 2016. Of the lavish floral decorations, that the city promised, there is unfortunately nothing to see in the Corona year 2020, regardless of this you have a beautiful view to Mildenburg Castle from this point. Mildenburg Castle was first mentioned in 1226.
