Lichfield Cathedral is the only three-spired medieval cathedral in Britain. They are often referred to as 'the Ladies of the Vale'. The current gothic building dates from the 13th century and sits on the site of an earlier Saxon church founded by St Chad. It was expanded over several centuries. During the English Civil War it was devastated by fighting and vandalism. It was later restored after Charles II returned to the throne. In 1803, the windows in the Lady Chapel were furnished with Flemish stained glass purchased from Herckenrode Abbey.

This unassuming short section of road is named after Calum MacLeod, a local crofter and lighthouse keeper. Between 1964 and 1974 he single-handedly toiled to connect Arnish, at the northern tip of Raasay, to Brochel Castle, where the 19 miles of single track road from the ferry terminal at the south of the island ended. In 1982, the two miles of road he built was finally adopted by the council and surfaced with tarmac. The Isle of Raasay, one of the smaller Inner Hebridean Islands, is sandwiched between the Isle of Skye and mainland Scotland. It has a population of around 160 residents.

The remains of a fortified settlement site dating from the Iron Age. The monument is situated in a commanding position on hill some 80 metres above sea level. Although there are numerous Brochs surviving in Scotland, their purpose  is uncertain. They could be defensive structures or symbols of prestige and power, intended to demonstrate the wealth of the local chieftain. The Isle of Raasay, one of the smaller Inner Hebridean Islands, is sandwiched between the Isle of Skye and mainland Scotland. It has a population of around 160 residents.
