The twin water tower in Offenbach stands on the 132 meter high mountain Bieberer Berg and ensures sufficient water pressure for the cities of Offenbach, Dietzenbach and Mainhausen. Construction of the water tower began in 1966. In 1968 the two elevated tanks with a height of around 45 meters were completed and put into operation. Each of the tanks has a maximum water level of 33 meters and holds a maximum of 7,500 cubic meters of water. This results in a total volume of 15 million liters of drinking water.
