The facade of the Baptistery of Volterra is in black and white marble and the portal date to the 13th century. Above the architrave are the sculpted heads of Christ, the Virgin, the Apostles and an inscription with the date 1283. Archive documents refer to the interest Brunelleschi took in the construction of the dome. It was erected in front of the Cathedral.

During the night of 5th to 6th November 2019 the Rijksweg in Gulpen, Limburg, The Netherlands was closed for traffic and a pre mounted pipe bridge was hoisted on its pilons. This pipe bridge now connects the new sustainable brewhouse with the existing fermentation and filling facilities of the local family brewery
