Odaiba or Daiba is a man made island built in Tokyo Bay connected to Tokyo by the Rainbow Bridge. Odaiba is an entertainment area with large shopping centres, restaurants, shops and Decks Beach.

The first to undertake a study on the geology of Lure Mountain was Wilfrid Kilian, a French geologist from Schiltigheim. Registered at the Sorbonne to take a geology degree, he was noticed by Edmond H'ebert. It was under his supervision that he completed his doctoral thesis. He successfully introduced it in 1888, and obtained the degree of Doctor of Science. From the outset, this thesis, in which he asserted himself as a stratigrapher and paleontologist, was considered masterful since he established for the first time "a precise biostratigraphic scale for the Terminal Jurassic and the Subalpine Lower Cretaceous, capable of being extended to all the southern subalpine chains. »

Hibiya Park was home to Japan's first Western style flower gardens. These are maintained to this day. The park also puts on a Chrysanthemum display in November. Chrysanthemums are associated with the Emperor.

Centocow Mission in the tiny town of Centocow, KwaZulu-Natal, is a Catholic Church mission that was founded in the 1880's by German Trappist monks. The Sacred Heart Church is made of red brick, and was consecrated in 1913. It is still used for church services every week.The Mission station included a church, hospital and farm.

The Company's Garden is a park and heritage site located in central Cape Town. The garden was originally created in the 1650s by the region's first European settlers and provided fertile ground to grow fresh produce to replenish ships rounding the Cape. It is watered from the Molteno Dam, which uses water from the springs on the lower slopes of Table Mountain.
