They ensure that you can experience the industrial revolution yourself in your vicinity. In the mills and the various workshops the craftsmen still do their work every day.

De Gekroonde Poelenburg (The Crowned Poelenburg) is a paltrok mill in Zaandam, North Holland, Netherlands which has been restored to working order. As all Dutch paltrok mills it is a windpowered sawmill. The mill is listed as a Rijksmonument, number 40093. It is located at the Zaanse Schans in a group of several historic industrial windmills. The windmill De Zoeker is located in the open-air museum in Zaanstad, near the village Zaanse Schans in North Holland. The windmill is the only oil mill still in daily operation. It is one of five remaining oil mills in the Zaan region.

This oil mill is called De Bonte Hen (The spotted hen). It is in the open-air museum in Zaanstad, near the village of Zaanse Schans in North Holland. De Bonte Hen is the northernmost of the mills in Zaanse Schans.

The windmill De Zoeker is located in the open-air museum in Zaanstad, near the village Zaanse Schans in North Holland. The windmill is the only oil mill still in daily operation. It is one of five remaining oil mills in the Zaan region. Next to it stands the windmill Het Jonge Schaap, which is still in operation today as a sawmill.

In the open-air museum in Zaanstad, near the village Zaanse Schans in North Holland stands the windmill De Kat. It is the only still producing paint mill in the world - originally there were 50 paint mills in the vicinity. It is 21.80 metres high and has been listed as Rijksmonument No. 40092 since 1960.

Old river bed of the Irkut river became a lake, quiet and pieceful place for fishermen, hunters and, of course, mountain-bikers. The blue skied fall is always beautiful here. Standing on a fallen tree was tricky, but I made it.

Panorama of the minster place surrounded by historic buildings and the minster in Bad S"ackingen, Baden W"urttemberg, Germany. Originally built in Roman style, then rebuilt in Gotic style after a fire in the 14th century, the splendid Saint Fridolin Minster was renovated in baroque style in the 17th and 18th century. The church is dedicated to St. Fridolin, a misionary who arrived in the area in the 6th century from Ireland and built a church and monastery on an island in the river Rhine.
