The Tiflis Funicular railway was constructed to develop the uninhabited Mtatsminda plateau that overlooks the city and was opened on 27 March 1905. The railway carriage accommodated up to 50 people and the journey time was 6 minutes. Vaso Kvavilashvili, the first locomotive-driver of the Funicular recalls: “At first people feared that the rope might break and they did not want to climb into the carriage. People were brought in coaches, were paid money, and were urged not to be afraid and to get into the carriage. Later, when people got used to the railroad, there was a long line for tickets.” The popularity of the Funicular was further increased when an entertainment and leisure park was constructed on the Mtatsminda plateau in the 1930s. In the days of the Soviet Union, Mtatsminda Park was the third most visited public park in the USSR, Gorky Park in Moscow being number one. Read more about Mtatsminda Park here. The Funicular Railway underwent several reconstructions until being replaced in 2012 with modern equipment and carriages. The ride up Mt Mtatsminda on the recently reconstructed Funicular is spectacular, as are the views from the top – and the Funicular Complex restaurant building has a couple of great places to eat or drink. There is a big amusement park for kids and adults, bars, cafes, night club, TV tower and spectacular views over the Tbilisi from 710 meter high mountain.

The building of the Municipial Council of Zilina is an excellent example of the Slovak modernistic architecture. It was built in 1988 according to a design of Viera Meckov'a, a famous Slovak woman architect. She received a prize of the Slovak Architects' Association for this design.The building is said to be interesting thanks to original form of its elevation - it is made of ceramic tiles, which sometimes form interesting compositions. Its expressive look is also a consequence of large glazings and windows.In 2017 the building was renovated, but of course with a great concern for saving its unique expression.In front of the building there is also the monument to the victims of the communist regime by Slovak academic sculptor Milan Luk'ac.

Government House of Nova Scotia is the official residence of the Lieutenant Governor of Nova Scotia, as well as that in Halifax of the Canadian Monarch. It stands in the provincial capital at 1451 Barrington Street; unlike other provincial Government Houses in Canada, this gives Nova Scotia's royal residence a prominent urban setting, though it is still surrounded by gardens. Koenigsberg in Bavaria is located in the Lower Franconia district Hassberge between Coburg and Schweinfurt. Here is the Evangelical Lutheran St. Mary's Church on the market square. The late-Gothic, three-aisled hall church with a length of 41.5 meters and a width of 22 meters dates from 1432. The panorama was created in the choir.

This panorama shows a very nice very of the expanse of the Echo Cliffs that parallel the Colorado River for seventeen miles before they diverge when the cliff band bends to the south east towards Tuba City, AZ. Prominent in the photo are the jagged spires that collectively comprise the Echo Peaks. The Echo Cliffs are part of the vast lands of the Navajo Nation. Look down at the bank on river-left and you can see a riparian area on the inside of the river bend. Most likely, soil and sand were deposited here as the water slowed on the inside of the curve. Vegetation takes advantage of any foot hold it can get in the undisturbed soil and soon a river side oasis is formed. Rotate the panorama about 180 degrees and look at the ground behind you. In contrast to the river oasis there is a significant difference in vegetation. Prominent here are prickly pear cactus, brittle brush, and a few short grasses. The hot sun bakes the ground and without water only the hardiest plants can grow only a few yards from the river.

360 panorama of the interior of Saint Vitus and Fourteen Holy Helpers Catholic Church in Pilisborosjen"o, Hungary. The place of worship was built in a simple baroque style and decorated with religious iconography on the ceiling, colourful stained windows, relief art, statues, statuettes and a large painting behind the altar.

View from the top of Trout Creek Butte (elev. 5,546') near Sisters, Oregon.  Old roads lead to the top where the view is limited to glimpses of Three Sisters & Broken Top nearby.  The summit is equipped with an abandoned 75' aermotor fire lookout tower that was built in 1933 at a cost of $1645.37.  Access to the top is cut off as the first two flights of steps having been removed.  There is also no floor at the top viewing area, apparently gouged out.  The area was hit by the lightning-caused Milli Fire which burned 24,079 acres during the 2017 season.
