Faenza is a small town with about 60000 inhabitants in the Emilia Romana, southeast of Bologna. In the Renaissance the city became famous for its artistic pottery - faience. Even then, the company exported to the whole of Europe. The monumental fountain in Piazza della Liberta stands between the Clock Tower and the Cathedral. The water supply was always a problem for the inhabitants of Faenza, because the water quality of the wells within the city had to suffer again and again from heavy pollution. At the end of the 16th century the construction of an aqueduct was started, which led the water from a good source of drinking water to this fountain.

Faenza is a small town with nearly 60000 inhabitants in the Emilia Romana, aouth-east of Bologna. In the Renaissance the city became very famous for its elaborate pottery, which had been exported to many European countries. Just north of the "Piazza del Popolo" is the "Piazza della Liberta". It is dominated by the unfinished brick facade of the cathedral, which was built from 1474 to 1520 above a previous building. The "Torre Civica", the clock tower, also stands here. Destroyed by German troops in December 1944, it was rebuilt shortly after the war.

Hatsumode is the first Shinto shrine or a Buddhist temple visit of the Japanese New Year. WIKIPEDIA - Hatsumode http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hatsum%c5%8dde There is Tokura Shrine in the place that is near to my house. It is one of the extremely common Shinto shrines in each place of Japan.Of course it is not a Shinto shrine famous particularly. However, it is a Shinto shrine taken good care of by local people as tutelary shrine of a village. When it is 0:00 a.m. and becomes New Year, the neighboring people begin to gather in this small Shinto shrine. The people go and worship at this Shinto shrine to thank for the joy that the people were able to greet the New Year safely and to hope that people can live peacefully after this. There is "Holy night of Japan" here,it is calm and beautiful. Such scene can look in various parts of Japan. However, it is one of the important scenes for me.

In the plantation is a Fairground and a stone memorial mound. The plant was consecrated in 1895 in memory of both the Hedeselskabet and E. Dalgas, who died the previous year. On the memorial mound there are two stones, one of which has a breastplate in the bronze of Dalgas. http://spor.dk/sporene/soenderjylland/tirslund-plantage
