The Dompier Creek Slide Area is a geologically unstable area near Tiller, Oregon. Landslides have occurred here since ancient times resulting in the formation of several lakes below however this scar is from a major event that occurred in February 1962 where nearly 40 million cubic yards of debris & forest swept down over a 300 acre area, sliding close to where several homes were. The area is comprised of loose clay & mud mixed w/ basaltic material & there are a few places where angled trees on the rim indicate ongoing slumping. After 56 years, one can see that most of the slide is now ovegrown & left forgotten, at least until the next big one.

Callahan Ridge is located near Tiller, Oregon. The ridgeline consists of many acres of open meadows that downslope to the east. In 2015, the Stouts Fire burned through the area, however National Forest Service have replanted new saplings throughout the hillsides. We are located here in the southern part of the Luxor temple, in a vestibule with a total of 32 columns. This columned vestibule is located between the second large courtyard of the temple (court of Amenhotep III) and the southern central rooms of the temple. This beautiful light atmosphere was captured between the columns with a view to the courtyard of Amenhotep III at the Blue Hour.
