Новый сингл Muse станет официальным гимном летних Олимпийских игр в Лондоне, которые стартуют 27 июля. Как сообщает Lenta.ru со ссылкой на New Musical Express, композиция под названием "Survival" была выбрана в качестве главной музыкальной темы Игр-2012 Олимпийским комитетом. Премьера песни состоялась в среду, 27 июня.

По задумке оргкомитета соревнований, "Survival" будет звучать во время выхода участников турнира на спортивные площадки и вручения медалей. Кроме того, новую работу Muse можно будет услышать во время эфиров программ, освещающих олимпийские события.

Мэтт сказал, что песня "Survival" создавалась с мыслью об Олимпиаде. Композиция посвящена настрою на победу. И Muse польщены и горды тем, что им предоставился шанс стать авторами музыкального сопровождения к олимпийским мероприятиям.
