Fast-food restaurants

Jelllyjam все записи автора In one English book there is a unit under the name "Eating out", and after it there are some exercises. And the third question in the first exercise is: "Which of the places in A opposite would you go to if you have three small children with you?"
Well, the right answer is "A fast-food restaurant".
Maybe, in different countries there are different fast-food chains, but I suppose that, for example, McDonald's is the same for all of them. So, as for me, I would never take three small children with me there.
Do you happen to know anything about these chains all over the world? Are there really good fast-food chains? For some reason, I don't think that they really exist.

as for the USA, I know that fast food is their ordinary meal... So it's normal for the average American family to go to one of the fast-food restaurants. And I should mention that McDonalds isn't considered the best restaurant of its kind.
As for me, I think that parents should be more reasonable and mustn't poison their children by fast food... While they are growing, you should be fed by normal, healthy food!!!

Kim_Berly, yes, I agree, and if I live in America, I won't feed my SMALL children with fast-food.

dolganov, cause I think that such food is not useful for a small child (well, for an adult too, but nevertheless).

Kim_Berly, absolutely agree) But I live in Russia, and I said: "If I live (in future), I won't feed..."
Of course, my hypothetic being an American woman most likely would be connected with eating in fast-food restaurants.
But not McDonald's, cause it seems to me that only the poor and workers, who earn not much, eat there. Well, I read about it somewhere...

Kim_Berly, but maybe it's a kind of a stereotype, like those ones Americans have about our country. Like bears walking on the streets or caps with ear-flaps which all of us wear in every season.
By the way, have you seen "Take me back to your house" by Basement Jaxx? What does it demonstrates?)

Jelllyjam, yeah, McDonalds is for working class people...

it's not a stereotype coz Russian people who lived there for more than a year have told me those things... They lived in those conditions and saw all habits of ordinary citizens.

No, I haven't seen this movie...Is it a movie?

I've seen the video! okey... there was a stereotype about USSR coz the country was closed and totalitarism was a ruling power!
As for the USA, freedom of speech and all that...

Talking about Americans... I've used to visit American Mommy Forum. They even cook sandwitches at home and consider it to be normal food for little children...
