1. Godless. The Dandy Warhols.

If the Joker had a friend, this is probably what he'd sing - otherwise, the lyrics don't make much sense. The song itself, though, has a mellow, anarchic feel to it that fits the Joker perfectly.

Hey, as for today, my friend,
To hope that you could ever bend,
I swear you are, I swear you are,
I swear that you are Godless.


2. Pure Morning. Placebo.

The lyrics are pure Joker - written like a nursery rhyme, yet completely irreverent and bordering that fine line between cleverness and obscenity.

A friend in needs a friend indeed,
A friend who bleeds is better.
My friend confessed - she passed the test,
And we will never sever.


3. Haunted. Charlotte Martin.

Brings to mind Harley Quinn and her fatal obsession with the Joker. Not exactly Dark Knight, but it still fits.

A hundred winters made the spring insane
A hundred nights without you
I'm not okay, I'm not okay.


4. I'm Your Villain. Franz Ferdinand.

This song has that mocking quality of the Joker - it has that "I'm here because you're here" kind of taunt that I'm expecting from the Joker in The Dark Knight. It could also be a little slashy, for all you pervs out there. ;)

I know what I am -
I'm your villain.
I don't give a damn if
I'm your villain.
Because serious,
You're so serious...


5. R-evolve. 30 Seconds to Mars.

Gotham is changing, and the Joker is here to make it worse.

The policy is set and we are never turning back.
It's time for execution; time to execute.


6. Sweet Sacrifice. Evanescence.

More mocking, more taunting, and it's oh so good. :)

It's true, we're all a little insane.
But it's so clear, now that I'm unchained...

Do you wonder why you hate?
Are you still too weak to survive your mistakes?


7. Map of Your Head. Muse.

The lyrics don't really make any sense for the Joker, but the combination of the delicate guitar melody and Matt Bellamy's falsetto is just so incongruous that it fits. :)

I hit my head on it and woke up to know
That I was all alone
Wearing just socks and a phone.


8. Kill All Your Friends. My Chemical Romance.

The title alone fits. But then, so does the rest of the song. Sorry for the excessive lyrics - there are so many good ones, I couldn't just choose one :)

Sometimes you scrape and sink so low,
I'm shocked at what you're capable of.
And if this is a coronation,
I ain't feeling the love...

I was killing before killing was cool.
You're so cool, You're so cool, So cool!

... You'll never get me alive.
You'll never take me alive.
Do what it takes to survive,

9. Tell Me A Lie. The Fratellis.

This song is so disjointed and the lyrics so erratic, it's almost as if the Joker were speaking through this Scottish rock band.

Walk like a monkey, kick like a mule
I could be your beggar, but I'd rather be just as cruel.


10. Polite Dance Song. The Bird & The Bee.

Bear with me here. The way Inara George sings this song, it's like she's saying, "Dance, or I'll shoot your feet off, okay?" Which is exactly what the Joker would say, if he wanted anybody to dance, right? :)

Give it up for me please

11. Battle of One. 30 Seconds to Mars.

The final confrontation.

Try and stop me

I want to fall.


12. Paper Planes. MIA.

This song = pure crack. But the lyrics make sense, especially the chorus, haha. I like to think of this song as the Joker's theme song. Ahaha.

All I wanna do is (BANG BANG BANG BANG!)
And (KKKAAAA CHING!)
And take your money

Pirate skulls and bones
Sticks and stones and weed and bombs
Running when we hit 'em
Lethal poison through their system.
