Thess: Well, technically, the "seal" doesn't exist in canon. Hirano said in Puff the Control Restriction Art is merely a way Hellsing created for -Alucard- gain control over his extra lives, before them he was a "soup of lives" with "identity" problems.

I: о_О Never heard of that. Can you tell the details? About where did he say it? when? and what does it mean: "gain control over his extra lives" ,"soup of lives", "identity" problems?

 Thess: In an interview with Puff Magazine a couple of years ago. 
You don't know of his lives? Have you read volume 8? If you read the manga... there's absolutely nowhere that there is indeed a "seal" that controls him, he has disobeyed Integra a number of times without any repercussion.

I:  Well I know about lives, I've read all volumes of manga.But I still can't understand the thing about 'soup of lives' and 'losing identity'...

Integra is intentionally not having children to free Alucard from the Hellsing Seal?
But she doesn't consciously think or talk about it. 
Possibly because she doesn't regard him as a servant in the end (they weren't addressed as master and servant, like Integra and Seras). But the "Hellsing Seal" began as Wild Mass Guess in itself in the Manga. In my years in the English fandom, it began mentioned by fans, pure speculation accepted as Fanon mostly derived from the Gonzo TV series, and never saw that one in the Japanese fandom. Never once this was mentioned in canon proper where Alucard can and has disobeyed Integra's orders without problem. If somebody only translates Hirano's interview in Puff Magazine, he defines the control restriction art Alucard can lift by himself with another purpose (IIRC: they help him to focus instead of being so lost in the soup of lives he had in the past). The Manga ending was a case of Now What, IMO.

Суть в том, что само понятие "печатей" придумано фанатами, в каноне о них, о печатях ничего не говорится. То есть все эти замутки насчет того, что Алу "поработили" -это фанон. 

Пару лет назад Хирано дал интервью для журнала Puff в котором сказал, что печати, а точнее Control Restriction Art, которым снабдили его Хеллсинги не ограничивают его никак, это всего лишь средство благодаря которому Алукард контролирует свои силы и именно благодаря этому искусству он получил способность выпускать души и управлять ими вместо того чтобы instead of being so lost in the soup of lives теряться в них и терять свое я в миллионах чужих.

Remember when Zorin peeked on Seras' mind? All she was... was mixed with Pip's because of Pip's life/soul/everything being combined with her. Imagine now Alucard... with his 10000000000x lives? He couldn't recognize himself immediately as a child, when he had that flashback in volume 8. Hirano show subtly Alucard's identity issues (which are fixed by the end END), but he had major ones.
