I LIKE IT
Looking through the window I thought
'I like to see the Nature
dozing sadly
among untidy
slouchy spaces -
chairs widely scattered and overturned
a chest of drawers half-open...'
having closed the Theatre
for the exhaustered actors...
or those who've rushed away with greed
on distance concert trips...
(they are floating now
above the rampant void of ocean...
above the sleepy towns...
recollecting silently their roles and lines)...
those that are left are searching
for a breeding nest for winter
or flitting
in the unhomely maze of branches
with their eyes wide open desperate for snow
when all will turn quite visible
uncovered, unprotected,
plain and simple
on the white of snow...
I also like
the wintry desert
when a crowd of thoughtful trees
stand still beneath the blue of sky
and mentally again create an elaborate play 'The Summer'
with its leaves... flowers... fluttering cast
and the green of grass...
