15 Up-and-Coming Trends About Santorini island tours |
Ever since I took a trip to Santorini, I consider the island to be among the most lovely locations in the world. Every brand-new corner seems more picturesque than the last and pictures will never be able to catch its enchanting atmosphere. If you're still considering whether to include Santorini to your pail list, here's 7 reasons that you need to check out the Greek island.
1. Because of the sundown in Oia
By far, among my favourite minutes in Greece was being able to witness the Santorini sundown. It's the only sunset in the world I have actually seen that gets a round of applause once it subsides. Come down there early though (a minimum of half an hour) for a good spot. The crowds can be a little a problem and the last thing you desire is to be running to find a spot, evading photos whilst at the same time trying to take your Santorini tour own before the sun disappears (been there, done that).
If the crowds prove Santorini tours excessive, and you would prefer someplace a little quieter, another sunset spot is Imerovigli. Once again, it offers a lovely, uninterrupted view of the sundown.
But in all sincerity, you can't really have a bad sunset in Santorini. It's kind of magical anywhere you are.
There are a couple of ways to navigate the island: renting an automobile, ATV, taxi or bus. Nevertheless, taxis can get expensive and buses offer you less time versatility. Roadways are mainly cobble-stoned, narrow and Grecian motorists are crazy (but exceptionally gifted), which leaves us with leasing an ATV. Renting an ATV, also referred to as a quad bike, is the best and most popular method to get around the island, particularly thanks to the high hills and heat which make it an extensive job walking from point A to B. Plus it's SO much enjoyable, guarantee.
Depending on the season, size and type of your ATV it might cost anywhere from 25 to 40 euros for 24 hours. Plus around 8-10 euros per day for fuel, based on a 200cc ATV.
It's a terrific and fun way to see the island by yourself terms and time. Certainly a must-do whilst in Santorini, just make sure to have a chauffeurs license with you.
3. Since you can white wine & dine with a view
Oia
With stunning views sweeping over the Aegean Sea and caldera, Santorini will completely surpass any expectations you have of "supper with a view" with the landscapes that surrounds you.
If you're searching for dining establishments that wed incredible views with delicious cuisines, popular ones include Ambrosia, 1800 and Lauda in Oia, Archipelagos and V Lounge in Fira, and Kapari Wine Restaurant in Imerovigli.
4. Since of the distinct beaches
Santorini is not known for its beaches, so don't anticipate the typical white sand & crystal clear water view that you typically connect with Greece. The beaches are volcanic, not white sand, so they're either red or black rocks, pebbles or grit, and get extremely hot on the feet. However, this makes them distinct and some prefer them to the common white sand beach, which makes them well worth a visit. Here's a few I 'd suggest.

Red Beach: The 'famous' beach of Santorini. It has black and red volcanic pebbles rather of sand and warm water. Ensure to wear closed shoes (no thongs or sandals) as the walk in can be slippery and the sand gets exceptionally hot.
Kamari: A cosmopolitan beach resort positioned on the southern part of Santorini, best next to Perissa, with the massive rock called Mesa Vouno in between them. The sand is black and the waters are deep and blue, with activities such as diving available. There's close-by cafes, bars, restaurants, stores and supermarkets, in addition to a dynamic nightlife that makes it a more popular traveler destination.
