The core of this reorganization is the recruitment of coaches and the establishment of a strength part that will carry out the direction of the club's development based on sports science.
Four new coaches have joined SSG through the reorganization: Kim Yi-seul (former Yulgok High School coach), Yang Ji-hoon (former Samsung front), Koo Bon-hak (former LG coach), and Shin Dong-hoon (former Lotte player).
Based on the use of biomechanics data, mental management, player-centered thinking, and technical capabilities, new coaches were recruited with an emphasis on communication and collaboration with each part coach.
SSG will establish a strength part to help players continue to grow and minimize injuries by applying lower body strengthening, rotational power, flexibility, durability, and mobility, which are the basis for improving the performance of pitchers and fielders and preventing injuries.
In the 2024 season, the SSG Futures coaching staff consists of Kim Dong-ho, bullpen coach Kim Yi-seul, hitting coach Oh Joon-hyuk, operation and base coach Yoon Jae-guk, battery coach Jeong Jin-sik, Lee Hyung-sam, conditioning coach Yoon In-deuk, Koo Bon-hak, and Shin Dong-hoon, with new coach Son Si-heon at the center. The remaining troops will be exclusively handled by pitching coach Yang Ji-hoon, field coach Lee Yoon-jae, and conditioning coach Kim Ki-tae, while defensive coaches will be appointed later.
