A method of establishing video-conferences between audio communication equipments (ACE1, ACE2) comprises a) using a user audio communication equipment (ACE1) to initiate a first call with another user audio communication equipment (ACE2), b) routing the first call to an exchange node (SSPN) of the telephone network (TN) in order it transmits a message, comprising the telephone numbers of the user audio communication equipments (ACE1, ACE2), to a service node (SN) connected to the telephone (TN) and Internet (IN) networks, c) authorizing the exchange node (SSPN) to establish the first call when the telephone numbers are stored in a memory (MY) of the service node (SN), in order to set up an audio communication between the audio communication equipments (ACE1, ACE2), d) determining, if required, the addresses of the user video communication equipments (VCE1, VCE2) in order to establish a video communication therebetween, in parallel with the audio communication.

Abstract:


The embodiment of the present invention discloses a method for establishing a multicast LSP and a system for transmitting multicast data. The method includes: a MSA node learns and stores multicast stream information; the egress edge node in the MPLS domain obtains the multicast stream information sent by the MSA node by sending a query request message to the MSA node; the egress edge node joins the multicast group, according to the obtained multicast stream information, and establishes a multicast LSP between the ingress edge node and the egress edge node. The technical solution of the present invention supports dynamic implementation of multicast services, and reduces the cost of maintaining a network topology.

Abstract:


A method and apparatus for providing performance measurements on network tunnels in packet networks are disclosed. For example, the method establishes two tunnels between a first measurement host and a first router, and establishes a tunnel between the first router and a second measurement host. The method also establishes a multicast group having a plurality of members, and sends one or more packets addressed to the multicast group from the first measurement host. The method measures the frequencies of directly and/or indirectly received responses from the plurality of members of the multicast group, and provides a plurality of estimated values for a plurality of packet transmission rates from measurement of the frequencies for one or more of said tunnels.

Embodiments of the present invention provide a finite difference method, a finite element projection, and a non-finite-element implementation of the finite element projection for solving the incompressible continuity equation on quadrilateral grids to obtain pressure and fluid velocity. An exemplary apparatus for simulating and analyzing the flow of an incompressible fluid is also provided. More particularly, embodiments of the present invention provide a non-finite-element-method (non-FEM) to implement the finite element projection to obtain a linear system whose coefficient matrix has an average bandwidth of five, in comparison to the finite difference scheme using conventional finite element projection and implementation with a bandwidth of nine. A two-dimensional-five-point-stencil-based non-FEM discretization is formulated to enforce the incompressible continuity equation. A shape function that is different from a weighting function used in the incompressible continuity equation is utilized to guarantee the five-point-stencil discretization is possible. The smaller bandwidth of the non-FEM scheme requires less computing resources and can compute the results in a reduced time duration, due to the simpler matrix to solve.

A method and an apparatus are provided for performing waveform analysis on physiological parameters. In one embodiment, a method includes reading measurement values of a first physiological parameter relating to time, and displaying them as a trend display graph in a trend display area that includes first coordinates representing time and second coordinates representing the measurement values. The method also includes acquiring a time selected in the trend display graph, and displaying, in a waveform display area, waveform data of a second physiological parameter associated with formation of the first physiological parameter during periods before and after the selected time. The waveform display area includes time coordinates. The disclosed embodiments allow medical staff to view the curve of a patient"s physiological parameters throughout a monitoring/therapy period. The present disclosure is concerned with the identification of fault origins of slowly degrading systems such as industrial gas turbines. Following the initial input of some parameter values, exemplary procedure comprises a number of steps which are repeated periodically during the operation of the gas turbine. First, for each potential fault such as e.g. a contamination of compressor blades, erosion of turbine blades or corrosion of machine parts, a pre-symptom fault probability, characteristic of the specific gas turbine considered, and a symptom-conditional fault probability are calculated. In a second step, on-line data from the monitoring devices are loaded in order to update information about symptoms such as e.g. reductions in polytropic efficiency and in flow capacity, changes in vibration spectrum, or other machine condition indicators, and a post-symptom fault probability is calculated. In a third step, the calculated fault probabilities are displayed and transmitted to a planning system for scheduling of gas turbine operation or maintenance actions.

A method of detecting a changed condition within a geographical space from a moving vehicle. Images of that geographic space are memorialized in conjunction with GPS coordinates together with its GPS coordinates. The same geographic space is traversed from the moving vehicle while accessing the route"s GPS coordinates. The memorialized images are played back by coordinating the GPS data on a memorialized images with that of the traversed geographic space such that the memorialized images are viewed simultaneously with the geographic space being traversed. An observer traveling within the moving vehicle can compare the memorialized images with those being traversed in order to identify changed conditions.
