( Happy New Year, everyone! (

Yay! This is my first post of the new year! And this was a lot of fun to make!  –

This drawing/comic was inspired by the music video for the song 'This Is the New Year' by A Great Big World. 
I just love their music, and I really love associating it with this movie! – A little fun fact: This is one of the many songs that Dan Romer, the composer for Pixar's Luca, produced for the group's debut album!  ( µ

The idea I had for this project was to show contrast between the one minute that separates the old year from the new year! Going from a simple mundane shot to the next that is full of life and energy! And I think that's what starting the year anew always feels like!

Also, this is probably the closest I've ever drawn these characters to their original style!
