Plush commission for an Etsy customer of a greyish striped hyena! To be honest I really like these animals and they had been on my to-plush list for a while, so I was really happy to get this commission! This little fellow is a squishy plush, 21 cm (8,5 inch) long from nose to bum and is made of various faux furs and minky. The stripes are all painted on with Copics, as is the shading around the face. I apply shading in layers and brush carefully after each application, letting it dry completely before adding a second layer to keep the softness of the fur. The manes are black-tipped and picked especially because of the possibility of puffing up the mane, like a real hyena can He has brown glass eyes and embroidered features. The tail is not wired. As always, everything is handsewn to my own design.
