Man's Arrogance: The Rhedosaur

Пятница, 16 Октября 2020 г. 02:37 + в цитатник
M.T.O TANIWHA
Codename: Rhedosaur
Scientific Name: Tuatarataniwha harryhauseni (Harryhausen's Spike-Backed Sea Monster)
Height: ~20 m / ~49 ft
Length: ~50 m / ~131 ft
Weight: ~1,200 tonnes / ~1,320 short tons
Category: 3
Aggression Level: 4

History: While kaiju organizations have been making great progress with finding these mighty organisms, there was still little they knew about their behavior, specifically their travel routes. Projected pathways in the past have been somewhat reliable when finding daikaiju, but there is still a large margin of error to be had and is only useful when a daikaiju is going on a rampage. Remote monitoring of these beasts would give more detailed maps of how and where daikaiju migrate, and how far their territories may span. While some daikaiju like the Beiru titans do not stray too far from their territories, other daikaiju are more nomadic and often have vast territorial pathways. Finding out more about daikaiju travel routes would not only be invaluable from a scientific perspective but would also serve as an effective early warning system if a certain daikaiju is nearing a populated area. The first of these remote tracking systems to be implemented on daikaiju would be the Remora-Cam. Designed after the suckerfish of the same name, this camera has similar ridge-like mechanics and structures that can grip onto the surface of an object and capable of withstanding the forces of ocean currents for days on end. The camera itself is enveloped in several inches of glass and other transparent material to withstand the immense pressure at the depths of the ocean, is fitted with a tag that sends signals to a then-experimental GPS satellite (which would be the basis for NAVSTAR), and to avoid disturbing the deep sea organism it has attached itself to (as well as other deep-sea organisms around the animal) it is also fitted with red lights that automatically switch as ambient light decreases. While the device was tested successfully on submersibles and large cetaceans, they were still in need of an aquatic hyperfauna to tag. Several attempts were made to attach the camera to Godzilla, but his armored body proved too irregular in texture for the camera to attach. Ogra was also considered for the camera, but after Arkion's roar flushed her and Gorgo across the Atlantic, no one has been able to find them. For Apex, they needed to set their sights on a more manageable creature that was common enough to be considered a viable option...

Such an opportunity would come in 1972. About a year after Arkion's global roar shook the Earth nearly setting in a mass awakening of daikaiju, a series of small anomalies were detected in New Zealand, specifically off the coast of Rakiura, more commonly known as Stewart Island. A few residents of the island's only town Oban reported sightings of "sea dragons" in the water surrounding their town, followed by several sightings further south made by a lighthouse owner of a larger reptilian-looking beast emerging in the dead of night investigating the structure before diving back into the sea. Most of these eyewitness accounts lined up with the timing of the small anomalies on the east coast of the island, enough of a connection to send a few agents to investigate whatever was working in the seas of this ancient archipelago. After scouring the southern tip of Rakiura for two days, they eventually found what looked to be a large coastal cave, with several shed scales littering the surrounding area from something very large. Walking over to the mouth of the cavern, they were able to hear the guttural moans of something large within them. A remote-controlled vehicle dubbed N.I.G.E.L was sent in to find the source of the strange sounds. Shortly afterward, the drone managed to capture glimpses of several large reptilians living within the cave system, huddling beneath the artificial starlight of the glowworms dwelling high above in the ceiling...before quickly being destroyed by a curious individual that saw the rover as possible food.

Apex immediately began to call over reinforcements after finding the cave, forming a crude research facility in close proximity to it. The creatures were identified to be rhedosaurs (named after the sea monster Rhedus from Native American folklore in the area where the first specimen was found), which were properly described and seen in 1960 after discovering the remains of a juvenile specimen in British Columbia that had been hastily terminated by former United States kaiju kill-force (nicknamed "The Lizard Slayers"). Dealing with much larger individuals and a greater number of these reptilians, Apex made sure to monitor from a distance as to not possibly disturb these giants from their blissful slumber, usually venturing around the mouth to collect pieces of skin the creatures would often shed. After examining the shed scales of the rhedosaurs they found them smooth enough for the Remora-Cam to latch on effectively. Apex mythographers and paleontologists also discovered potentially revealing information on the biology and behavior of these saurians. Myths on the North and South Islands told by various tribes spoke of reptilian sea beasts that dwelt in the coastal caves, most likely ancient accounts of rhedosaurs, with a few of these myths stating these creatures travel to the islands on an annual basis from their home far across the sea. This is corroborated by fossil evidence as well, with several incomplete skeletons of large reptilians similar to rhedosaurs being found in abandoned caves ranging from thousands to millions of years old that were repeatedly visited every year. All the evidence showed these creatures were most likely a migratory species that travel vast distances to this island adobe once a year. A perfect candidate for the Remora-Cam.

Thus a plan was set into motion to tag one of the rhedosaurs in order to track the beast and reveal the migratory habits of these scaly behemoths. Of course, it was easier said than done. Remote means of tagging the creatures via N.I.G.E.L failed miserably several times, so Apex agents had to enter the cavern and latch Remora-Cam onto the reptilians manually. Initially, it did not go as planned. The beasts, startled from their slumber by the tiny newcomers, suddenly panicked and tried to escape out of the caves. The Apex agents barely managed to get out without being crushed by the incoming monsters as they raced into the sea. Several of the reptilians escaped into the ocean, but the team did manage to corner one of them, a young male upon later analysis, against the land. The reptilian beast fought back viciously before making its way inland to escape its attackers. Apex agents pursued the creature from a distance, as it powered through the dense Zealandian forests. After nearly fifteen minutes on the chase and over ten kilometers covered, they finally managed to put an end to the pursuit after firing an electrified harpoon into its neck, stunning it long enough for the procedure to take place. With the titan subdued but still very much alive, they needed to be fast if they were to secure the tag onto the creature. The Remora-Cam latched onto the dorsum of the Rhedosaur with success, and not a moment too soon as the saurian began to stir. Awakening, the titan rose in rage as it snapped and snarled at the presumed enemies around it. Backing all its assets away, Apex made sure to give the reptilian a wide berth as they slowly herded it towards the shore. After a few more minutes of intense threat displays, the rhedosaur made a mad dash to the water, tumbling across the rocks and hitting the ocean with a thud as it swam away into the depths of the sea...

Over two weeks later, Remora-Cam was finally retrieved near the shores of the North Island. After weeks at sea, Remora-Cam only suffered minor damage, which proved the durability of such a device. But the real question was whether it had managed to catch anything of notice. Fortunately, this was also true. The footage revealed the journey the rhedosaur made once it entered the sea after the deployment of the camera and proved to be an invaluable source of information for the study of daikaiju as a whole. Exiting the water of New Zealand, it was seen swimming alongside various other rhedosaurs, some with juveniles in tow, suggesting the return migration back to wherever they came from was underway. As the rhedosaur split from these grouping and made its way across the Southern Pacific, the camera tracker caught glimpses of the deep sea, passing by abyssal plains and what would be the first true discovery of hydrothermal vents (as opposed to the 1977 discovery made official to the public). Various new species of deep-sea fish were recognized passing by the saurian as well as new geographical formations throughout the South Pacific as the rhedosaur continued its way east. Surfacing every few days, the rhedosaur would usually stick to the depths during the daytime and come to forage with the safety of night. A few predatory attempts were filmed on the camera, usually with the rhedosaur devouring the occasional mid-sized cetacean, though generally, it seemed more than content with absorbing the geothermal energy released from a few hydrothermal vents littering the seafloor.

But the best had yet to come. After several days of swimming and thousands of kilometers from the nearest land, the tagged rhedosaur surfaced and came across a massive storm. As it got closer, the circulating mass of clouds billowed lightning, with towering waves hundreds of feet high smashing into the ocean's surface. Diving underwater, the Remora-Cam found the water ahead of the rhedosaur also looking to be violently churning, with large debris swirling in the cloudy vortex of the bubbling maelstrom. The reptilian did not proceed forward for some time, pacing through the calmer water reluctant to enter. Then, out of the corner of Remora-Cam's view, a large object began ascending to the surface. The rhedosaur also seemed to have sighted this mass and dove down towards whatever was making its way to the surface. As it got closer, the moving mass was revealed to be something unimaginable. A group of titanic ichthyosaurs, easily as large as even a Kujira Gami Whale, glided up from below. The rhedosaur swam by the side of one individual, and the entire group of beasts passed through the wall of swirling water. It seemed the rhedosaur was using the massive beasts as a kind of "shield" to protect it from the violent vortex sweeping the area, specifically swimming on the side of the ichthyosaur that was not subject to the full force of the current. For a few minutes, the water was hazy with particulates pulled up from the seafloor obscuring the view. Then, the water began to clear, and the rhedosaur broke off from the pod of ichthyosaurs. At the same time, the camera's feed began to show signs of electrical interference, interrupted by periods of increasing static before the film finally ended and the camera presumably dropped off shortly afterward where it would drift back through the titanic maelstrom for thousands of miles until being rediscovered by the humans that made it...

But just before the camera feed ended, the rhedosaur surfaced one final time. What the team saw was not the typical vast expanse of open ocean, but land. Sheer rock faces erupting from the sea and land like dreaded spires from hell. Growing out of them, dense foliage and other floral matting, with hordes of flying beasts gathering around the top and sides. Other rhedosaurs were vaguely seen resting on the steep slopes, vying for limited space alongside what looked to be creatures very similar to the therapsids Todora and Maguma that were observed by Apex over a decade earlier. And etched onto those very spires, wherever there wasn't flora or fauna covering its surface, was the barren rock that had been eroded into various effigies. The effigies of skulls...

Description: A large semi-aquatic reptilian carnivore, the Rhedosaur is a rather generalistic but formidable organism that makes its home throughout the world's oceans. While superficially squamate-like in appearance, rhedosaurs are rhynchocephalians, an ancient branch of reptiles that were once found worldwide before a changing climate and the subsequent diversification of squamates pushed them to near extinction. Sharing a similar body plan to distantly related species from the Jurassic oceans of Europe, the rhedosaurs are a part of the sphenodont branch of the family, branching off from the modern-day Tuatara just before the end of the Cretaceous. This may explain why this reptilian daikaiju might migrate to New Zealand, perhaps drawn there by an instinctual urge to mate and raise their young within the safe confines of their ancestral home. Fossil evidence suggests that after splitting off from their fellow sphenodonts in New Zealand, this branch of reptilians became quite prolific within the Southern Hemisphere, mainly around the Antarctic. After shifts in climate halfway through the Cenozoic began a large-scale cooling trend across the planet, these reptilians found their tropical homes giving way to more arid and frigid conditions. Most of the family is thought to have gone extinct after the rapid cooling during the Eocene and Miocene, but the remaining members of this sphenodont branch began to rapidly evolve and adapt to cool climates and grew to become prolific throughout the oceans as generalistic hunters of the seas being comfortable in both frigid and tropical waters. Some of these creatures began to make their way up north of the equator, with a few eventually reaching Canada and Japan by the Pleistocene. Even after The Golden Demise, fossils evidence suggests rhedosaurs are as successful as ever if not moreso with the decline in larger daikaiju predators, being distributed across the globe's saltwater bodies, though their largest and most concentrated populations remain in the Southern Pacific, spending most of their lives in the open ocean except when they are ushered to the shores of New Zealand by the instinctive need to breed.

Even after millions of years of accelerated kaiju evolution, the rhedosaur retains various traits in common with their tuatara cousins such as a pineal eye, armored tail, and lack of true teeth, and much like their non-kaiju relatives, their physical appearance has not changed drastically after their initial radiation into the seas as their generalistic body plan has allowed them to survive through extinction events with relative ease. Unlike their terrestrial cousins though, rhedosaurs are far from lethargic invertebrate eaters. Larger than a blue whale and armed with massive jaw serrations and sharp claws, these aquatic predators make short work of most prey they can get their hands on. Despite their formidability, they are quite low on the daikaiju food chain, often being devoured and eaten by larger predators (some isotopic evidence suggests Godzilla and Anguirus have eaten many in their lifetimes). As a result, they needed to evolve various defenses in order to evade their would-be predators. A flattened tail covered in osteoderms to add greater surface area for swimming can provide short bursts of speed when needing to hunt prey or to escape from an incoming predator. If the hunter continues to pursue, the rhedosaur will unleash an inky cloud into the water much like that of an octopus squirting ink. This cloud contains is made up of the toxic waste produced by symbiotic archaea that live within the skin of this marine reptile. The archaea show some of the same heat and methanotrophic properties of the ones that dwelt within Gaira's fur, capable of absorbing energy from methane seeps and hydrothermal vents as the creatures bathe in the chemical soup. Unlike Gaira, the archaea of the rhedosaur produce an irritating poison as opposed to a corrosive gas as a waste product (though some parts of their chemical composition are similar), siphoning this poison out of pores in its skin that irritates enemies and can even make them sick fora few days. Fortunately, the poisonous residue is harmless to humans and other wholly biotic life due to having evolved to be a specific defense against other daikaiju, and even then it may fail against larger enemies that are less bothered by its toxicity. If this fails, then the rhedosaur will unleash its deadliest defense. Possessing a rudimentary version of the internal biological nuclear reactors that powers the atomic breath of Godzilla, a rhedosaur is capable of releasing an incandescent ray, capable of carbonizing flesh and boiling water in seconds. This can sometimes be enough to dissuade whatever enemy has managed to get this far in chasing a rhedosaur, though it is a last-ditch weapon. The very basal condition of a rhedosaur's nucleo-synthesis sac is only capable of firing a beam of incandescent gases for less than a minute before running out, after which it may take days for them to muster enough atomic energy to do so again. This attack is also quite ineffective against higher-tier predators with powerful defenses that allow them to survive unscathed, but for the most part, a rhedosaur is not a filling-enough meal for such apex predators so they mainly leave them alone. Despite the low standing in the food chain and the low threat they possess to daikaiju, a rhedosaur can still be relentless against human aggressors, and thus requires special attention when one does arrive within a populated area.

Character: Being low-class predators, rhedosaurs usually resort to flight when dealing with a larger carnivore. However, if they have exhausted their defensive options, a rhedosaur will resort to unbridled aggression. When they attack, they often do so with extreme ferocity as a way to discourage predators from trying to deal with such hostile prey. Like Gorosaurus, this can often result in a lot of collateral damage as the rhedosaur does its very best to cause severe damage to whatever is still continuously pursuing it. This method of unbridled aggression can be an effective last-ditch solution when facing enemies, but it is also quite risky if a predator is brazen enough to attack anyways, as rhedosaurs possess relatively soft skin for a daikaiju (though still capable of withstanding typical firearms). When escaping an enemy, they will often seek out a narrow tunnel or hollow chamber to escape into, usually, their own burrow or a natural cave that they usually live in, which would explain the preference of such features in the migratory population in New Zealand. In these caves, they often try to be as discreet as possible, resorting to low and quiet rumbles when communicating with each other as to avoid detection from predators. If they are discovered by something they view as a possible threat, they will immediately try to escape. This becomes quite interesting when viewing the 1972 incident where the rhedosaurs were unperturbed by the N.I.G.E.L units but tried to escape at the sight of humans, viewing them as some kind of threat to them or their young. Combining this with anecdotal evidence of smaller daikaiju being hunted and killed by ancient human beings (like the Atlantic civilization hunting Zigras), then it is quite possible the rhedosaur population may have also undergone hunting by an ancient civilization of humans, to the point that the fear response to humanoid-like beings has been embedded into the minds of the modern survivors thousands of years after their hunters have long vanished.

The History of the Technological Consortium

Пятница, 16 Октября 2020 г. 01:52 + в цитатник
This is a scene set in my Equestria Girls fan-series, which accompanies information regarding the history, laws, beliefs, general functions, and more, of the Technological Consortium, in my fan-series. The Consortium serves as a rival force for the Rainbooms throughout most of the series. This entry includes a lot of information, so I hope you like reading. ^_^'

THE PICTURE
Pictured is the library of the Consortium base which we will see the most of in my fan-series. The base is known as "Penopticon Theta", of which there are many like it, which is situated underground, in the wilderness area near the city near Canterlot High. Every such base is known as a Penopticon, and has a library like this one, with this one designated "Librarium Theta", after the base it is situated in. A large library of many wings and sections, it houses all manner of accumulated lore, history and knowledge, both in physical and digital formats. Some relics, heirlooms and works of art from the distant past are kept in these places, and Librarium Theta is honoured to contain one of several ancient statues of the organizations original Founder - Starswirl the Bearded, whose iconic visage, holding his famous tomes, and holding what is believed to be a representation of the Atom, which would come to be the inspiration for the organizations logo. Several statues of Starswirl in this pose were created in the ancient past, but sadly only a few have survived, and some, like this one, have had to be restored after incurring damage in some way. It has become a sort of tradition for Supreme Scientists to, in some way, emulate Star Swirls elevation of the Atom above them with one open hand, and historians presently don't know if this was just an embellishment of the statue or if Starswirl actually did this, with a sculpture of the atom, or a possibly magical projection of one.

In this picture we see the Consortium's newest young member - Moon Dancer, and her new Friend, Starlight Glimmer, who frequently spend time together in this library. Starlight Glimmer has taken it upon herself to guide Moon Dancer in exploring the history of the new world she has become a part of. Their relationship is considered ironic by some, as Starlight Glimmer is a practitioner of magic, and Moon Dancer is a disciple of Science and Technology.

THE HISTORY OF THE TECHNOLOGICAL CONSORTIUM
Listed below is a history of the Technological Consortium into what it is today, addressing the most important eras.

AUTHOR NOTE: I'm not a historian, so I may not be using accurate terms related to the periods of Human history I am referencing. Bare with me on this, hopefully it is easy to understand what I mean. ^_^'

The Bronze Age
The history of the Consortium stretches back to the Bronze Age, when it was founded by the original Supreme Scientist, then known as a "Grand Philosopher", who was none other than Starswirl The Bearded. At the time, Spirits and Monsters roamed the World alongside Humans. When the Titans, mighty Elemental Lords, threatened to return and enslave Mankind, some of the greatest Geniuses, Warriors, Mystics and Leaders, met and decided to join forces into an alliance to end the threat these Enemies posed. The first successful joint operation against the Titans saw the fall of the Titan known as King Lavan - King of the Molten Giants, after these Human Champions discovered powerful magic which embodied potent concepts and emotions, which they themselves came to embody.

After a successful campaign against the Titans, the assembled Heroes formed "The Pillars", although the Human world Pillars had more members relative to their Equestrian counterparts. In order to help prevent another world spanning threat, The Pillars would found Orders, comprised of Champions of might, intellect, magic and leadership, whom would search for and contain or neutralize threats, and come together in times of great, world-threatening peril. Starswirl the Bearded was elected the overall Leader of the Alliance, as his leadership was instrumental in the recent conflict, being referred to as the "Grand Philosopher", a title which would catch on and be assigned to all future elected Leaders. The Alliance itself would come to be known as "The Order of the Pillars", while the Leaders of each individual Order comprising it would be known as a "Pillar", a metaphorical reference to how they collectively hold up the Alliance.

Eventually the original Pillars would pass from this world, as unlike their Equestrian counterparts, they were not frozen in time as part of a ritual in binding a great evil, as they did against the Pony of Shadows in Equestria, and the powerful magic they embodied, known by then as "Elements of Harmony" would eventually be forgotten. The various Monsters, Spirits and other Mysterious Beings that perpetually threatened Mankind were slowly hunted down and banished into one of the many other planes, such as the Elemental Planes, the Fae Realms, the Spirit Realm and the Umbral Realm, among other such places. Other times they were corralled into forbidden areas, never to be disturbed, some such places exist to this day, and although some of these places have been forgotten to time, some are still monitored by the Consortium in modern times. Some such Beings would be Allies and even Friends, however, and would be afforded special protection, but eventually they would fade from the world in some way, or their presence would naturally diminish.

The Middle Ages
Throughout the Middle-Ages, increasing numbers of threats caused by magic wielding Humans, such as when the Imperialistic King Sombra, started a decade long war, resulted in the decision to enforce some measure of control and regulation over all institutions of magical learning, much to the chagrin of some of the other Members of the Orders, who feared they may become Tyrants. Some members would even leave their respective Orders because of this. Most institutes of magic received emissaries who would negotiate some kind of arrangement to help control who could learn magic under a single governing body, and some would join with the Order of the Pillars outright. Some resisted, and were seized or co-opted one way or another, usually through purchase of the land they were on, but in some rare cases, they were seized by force or taken over from within with guile.

The Industrial Age
As the centuries went by, the Orders that comprised The order of The Pillars would change - altering their heraldry, trappings, customs and even names, but they would usually at least loosely resemble what they were. Come the Industrial Age, these Orders would meet and officialize a permanent union. It was discussed that although they have driven most of the Monsters and Spirits and other Entities away, there is still the threat posed by other Humans, for despite their efforts to control magic, others would still find ways to acquire it and threaten Humanity. Most agreed that guiding Human society in favour of pursuing technology over magic would be a good way to help curtail the danger of putting exceedingly dangerous magical forces into the hands of normal people, and to keep what magic there was firmly under control, although some protested that this was wrong. Regardless, they went ahead with this course of action, and they were known thereafter as the Technological Consortium.

The Modern Age
The Consortium persists to this day, secretly leading much of Mankind's technological innovation and progress from behind the scenes, seeking out and dealing with threats and responding to reports of Monsters, Spirits, Rogue Magic Users, Mad Scientists and Super Villains, as well as criminal organizations such as RELIC, lead by Doctor Ahuizotl, the Villainous COBRA, and more recently, visitations by Alien life-forms from other worlds, including a race of powerful transforming sapient Machines. The Consortium's existence is known to many world governments, and they work closely together, although some world Leaders fear what might happen if the Consortium ever went rogue.

GOALS & IDEOLOGY
The Consortium believes first and foremost that the safety and prosperity of the Human race is their first priority. To this end, they seek out, analyse and assess potential threats, and either neutralize them or seek to bring them under control. They perpetually seek to invent and improve technology for the benefit of all, and seek out the best and brightest in hopes of recruiting them, or at least sponsoring them in some way. They have made much progress, and invented technologies that would seem as magic to most, but the Consortium also believes in prudence and moderation, and have concluded that the introduction of new technology is a slow process that takes time and must be conducted with great care. To instantly transform a society with advanced technology could be disruptive and destructive, both to society, the economy and to peoples safety. Only when they believe Humanity is ready for such technology do they begin it's slow introduction into society, alongside a restructuring of the economy if necessary. They all ready have technologies such as teleportation and limited space travel, but such technologies have monumental ramifications to the world. Some technologies and concepts, such as time travel and dimensional travel, just like magic, are considered too dangerous to be mainstream, and the Consortium maintains exclusive access to them, which are all restricted and regulated.

THE VIRTUES OF UTOPIA
The Virtues of Utopia, originally known as "The Philosophies of Utopia" and sometimes as "Elements of Harmony", in the earliest days of the organizations existence, are akin to the Elements of Harmony from Equestria, although in the modern era, not as some kind of magical power that can be wielded, but as concepts and ideas that help guide members and the organization, and as inspiration, which they believe will one day help them create a Utopia on Earth where all Humans and Creatures co-exist in peace, where all will live in happiness, harmony, prosperity and enlightenment. There was a time, however, in the distant past, when these Virtues and Elements were able to manifest some kind of power that could be wielded against evil. Each Philosophy/Virtue was represented by one of the Consortium's original founders, thousands of years ago, and it is speculated that these Virtues will return one day as tangible forces that will be needed to defeat some great threat, just as the organizations Ancestors and Founders once did. The Virtues are...

Truth
Justice
Wisdom
Knowledge
Wonder
Inspiration
Diligence
Courage
Duty
Vigilance

It is not mandatory to abide by any of these Virtues, although Members are expected to conduct themselves well. It is common however for Members to select a few of them, or at least one, to represent them. For example, Sunny Flare has chosen Wisdom, Sunset Shimmer has chosen Duty, and Moon Dancer has chosen Knowledge. What these things represent is not officially set in stone, and although the original Pillars all documented what they meant to them, others across history have also detailed their own accounts of what the Philosophies and Virtues mean to them, and Members in the modern age are allowed to interoperate them as they see fit, usually using past accounts as guides.

AUTHOR NOTE: I will be exploring at least a few of these later, especially Wonder, which is meant to be the Consortium's counterpart to the Element of Magic.

LAW & THREATS

Magic
Magic is endorsed by the Consortium, but only in a controlled state. Practitioners of magic are either members of the Consortium, members of an co-operative external organization, or an individual that has agreed to follow Consortium laws and codes of conduct. These second parties are allowed to petition the Consortium for assistance in a matter or to act on their behalf, and cases of breech of conduct and crimes perpetrated towards the magical community, or using magic to commit crimes, are to be reported to the Consortium. The Consortium basically acts as a government and police force for these allied magical communities and individuals. Other Magical communities that have agreed to work with the Consortium are allowed to operate semi-independently and can take care of matters on their own, but they must make regular reports to the Consortium. All Magic is to be kept secret from the world at large, and magic users either operate from secret locations or under cover. Rogue Magic users and Institutes exist in secluded and hidden places of the world, and the Consortium is aware that there are underground communities of Magic users that operate without their involvement. The Consortium has entire divisions dedicated to things
like covering up incidents of blatant magic use and maintaining relations with magical communities. There is also a "Black Market" of sorts for magical items and spells which they must be wary of.

The Supernatural
Various Supernatural Beings still exist throughout the world, although in a much diminished capacity. Many such beings are kept safe and secure in secret locations, but there are some areas which are magnets for Supernatural activity that exist outside the Consortium's full control, like Everfree Forest. The Consortium otherwise responds to detected or reported instances of paranormal activity by sending Agents to investigate and evaluate the severity of the situation to determine an appropriate final response. There are Supernatural Beings who have agreed to operate under regulation by the Consortium, in the same way that magic users do. Spirits and Ghosts are natives of parallel dimensions and it is not normal for them to be able to naturally exist in the physical plane except under special circumstances, or by passing through a breech in the dimensional barriers between planes. Some such Spirits and Ghosts have made the physical plane their permanent home and those the Consortium are aware of need their full approval to continue using the physical plan as their home. One instance of this is the Chaos Spirit Discord, who has agreed to abide by Consortium laws, and who protects a Mystic Hallow upon which he constructed a museum, which serves as their home and personal business. The Consortium otherwise hunts down hostile or rogue Supernatural elements and deals with them appropriately.

Science and Technology
Although the Consortium controls much of the advancements in Science and Technology across the planet, there are those who conduct experiments of their own, unsupervised by the Consortium, sometimes to disastrous and perilous results, and sometimes with fiendish intent. Rogue Scientists and Inventors are referred to collectively simply as "Rogue Scientists" and those who deal in especially terrible and dangerous experiments and technology, such as time travel, dimensional technology and weather control, are referred to as "Mad Scientists" because their experiments and technology have the potential to damage or destroy humanity, civilization or the very planet as we know them, and presumably only someone truly mad would perform such acts. The Consortium is also on alert for instances of Alien technology somehow finding its way to Earth, which threatens to destabilize or cause damage to Humanity or the planet with their unknown, Alien science and capabilities.

Criminals and Super Villains
Despite their best efforts and good intent, the Consortium is unable to fully stop crime. Criminals who become immensely powerful become known as Super Villains, and usually wield impressive powers or influence, either through technology, magic or supernatural powers, and sometimes other strangers means...

Aliens
A relatively recent addition to the Consortium's list of duties is to safeguard the planet and Humanity from extra-terrestrial life-forms. There have so far only been a few confirmed instances of contact with Alien life-forms, although sightings of UFO's of dubious origin and credibility abound. One on-going situation involves the presence of sapient, transforming machines who are waging a civil war amongst themselves, which has found its way to Earth. One faction of this war is co-operative with the Consortium.

Time Travel
Travel through time is strictly forbidden, except in the pursuit of individuals or groups who transgress this law and seek to tamper with time itself. So far no threats to the history of Humanity and the world have been allowed to fully play out, and only a few instances of such attempts have been confirmed, but the Consortium is eternally vigilant against time travel, which they believe may be the greatest threat to everyone. Only the Supreme Scientists is allowed limited time-travel capabilities, which is restricted to "peering" through time in order to learn and record history, using a technology called "Chronal Windowing" which allows a user to peer through an opening in time to a target temporal destination, which

Dimensional Travel
Dimensional Travel is heavily restricted and regulated, and is only engaged in for academic, documentational reasons and to verify dimensional threats, such as dimension travelling Monsters and Villains. The existence of Parallel Universes and Alternate Time-Lines are confirmed, and the barriers between dimensions and time-lines are monitored for breeches. Such alternate universes and time-lines are related to the Quantum Plane, and travel to and from them usually involves passing through this plane. It is theorized that somewhere in the "Multi-Verse" there probably exists one or more malevolent version of the Technological Consortium, which may or may not have scruples with travelling to or influencing other universes or time-lines for their own benefit. The Consortium greatly fears what an evil Supreme Scientist could be capable of.

MEMBERSHIP & RECRUITMENT
Members of the Technological Consortium are expected to do their best and act with a sense of duty. The work they do protects Mankind itself, and sometimes they are the only thing standing between the safety of Mankind and total catastrophe. Members are also expected to act with dignity and honour, they must abide by their word and the rules, but everyone must acknowledge that a time may come when conduct and honour must be put aside for a greater good. What good is your word if the world ends? Those who breech the Consortium's laws will be judged by their superiors, although past service is always taken into consideration and leniency is common based on rationalization. Due to the immense size and logistical requirements of the Technological Consortium, keeping track of who is actually following the rules and acting accordingly can be difficult, particularly with Leaders who have majority control of the operation of
their territory.

The Consortium recruits new members in various ways, which include...

Individual Recruitment
The Consortium sends representatives to approach a promising potential recruit, such as a Police Officer, Detective, Soldier, General, Scientist, Inventor, Diplomat, Politician, Business Owner, and other professions and stations, and offers them membership outright. They are usually approached by people representing one of the legitimate businesses or organizations which are owned by the Consortium, and if the individual agrees and serves well, they may be invited to the Technological Consortium itself, rather than working for them through proxy. Those who refuse are put under observation to determine if they may somehow threaten the Consortium or Human society in some way. Those who are told of the existence of the Consortium and threaten to reveal its existence, or crucial information to officials or the public are subjected to a memory wipe of their encounters with Consortium representatives.

Schools and Academia
The Consortium has Agents working in various Schools and other Institutes of Learning throughout the world, monitoring the progress of promising individuals who they may then attempt to guide on their path to excellence. In such a case as one such promising individual catches the Consortium's attention, they will try to ensure that they are offered jobs within one of the businesses or organizations owned by or allied to the Consortium, and may join the Consortium itself proper some day. Sometimes a promising young student will be considered so remarkable they will be offered membership either during their time at their chosen place of learning or immediately after graduation.

Orphanages
The Technological Consortium operates many orphanages throughout the world, in hopes of not only ensuring wayward Children may one day find a family and have a future, but to perhaps bring them into the Consortium. It is common for Consortium members to adopt and raise their adopted Children to join the Consortium one day. Sometimes Orphans are not so much adopted in the traditional sense, by one or two parents, but are adopted by the Consortium itself, and in such a case, such former Orphans regard the Consortium as one big family, or in cases when they were adopted as a group, they regard each other as Brothers and Sisters and as their own family unit. Examples of Orphans being recruited in this way are Sour Sweet, Indigo Zap, Starlight Glimmer and Sunset Shimmer, and the four of them have developed a powerful and unbreakable bond of friendship and sense of family because of this. Some have raised questions regarding the ethics of this particular method of recruitment, and it is a divisive topic amongst some within the Consortium.

Business & Acquisition
One method of recruiting large numbers of workers and operatives at a time, or at least benefiting from their work, is through legitimate businesses and organizations. These can be owned and built from the ground up by the Consortium, either through a collective effort or by the efforts of an enterprising Member, or they can be co-opted or hired by the Consortium to work on their behalf without ever knowing who they are truly working for. Sometimes someone is invited to the Consortium for their wealth, influence and assets if they think they can be trusted with being allowed into the organization, and an example of this is with Filthy Rich, who is a multi-billionaire and owner or several extremely powerful and productive corporations and businesses, which had been hired by the Consortium many times in the past, leading up to Filthy Rich's invitation to the Technological Consortium.

Hired Help
As with the Consortium hiring companies to act on their behalf, sometimes remarkable individuals or small teams of such individuals will only serve the Consortium's goals through purchase of services. This is the case with some Mercenaries, Bounty Hunters and Adventurers who are willing to aid the Consortium if their fees can be met. Daring Do was a world famous Explorer, Adventurer and Archaeologist who accepted commissions to undertake expeditions on behalf of those willing to fund them. Many lost ruins, artefacts and lost lore has been found, and put under observation, lock-down or confiscated... thanks to the amazing talent of Daring Do, and she is considered a member of the Consortium, although she maintains a tremendous degree of autonomy.

Another example of hired help is the Bounty Hunter Team "The Washouts", among their membership is their youngest member - Lightning Dust, who have hunted down and captured many Monsters and Super Villains for the Consortium, for a sizeable fee, of course... such Mercenaries operate with autonomy but are monitored by the Consortium to make sure they do not get too close to uncovering anything they shouldn't, as well as ensuring they don't accept work from anyone that has conflicting goals with the Consortium.

THE FAN FICTION
I am in the process of writing a road-map and world building for a fan-fiction series based in the Equestria Girls setting. Basically, I am writing it like a television series. Originally I had planned to average this at 6 seasons with 25 episodes per season, but I am changing this to 8 seasons, across 2 separate series', Equestria Girls Series 1 and 2, with 2 being set a few years after the first, each consisting of about 30 episodes each. it is written in the style and tone of the actual show. It's basically what I would do if I was the writer for the actual Equestria Girls series. Previous entries in my fan-series mention the original plan of 6 seasons of 25 episodes, which will be updated at a later date.

AUTHOR NOTE: Most if not all of the previous entries in this series will be undergoing revision, making some changes and adjustments and updates to the characters and setting, including the plugging of any plot holes and inconsistencies I or any of you may find. I will announce when I do this for anyone who is
actually interested in this series I am planning.

Would appreciate comments and feedback, including pointing out any errors or inconsistencies. This series is still a work in progress and in the planning phase, and am open to help and helpful criticism.

G1 Decepticon skywarp

Четверг, 15 Октября 2020 г. 04:13 + в цитатник
Following the disappearance of Megatron in a space bridge accident, the Decepticons split into several splinter groups, but Skywarp stayed with the main faction under the command of Shockwave. He participated in an attack on the minions of The Fallen in Protihex, where his teleporting power enabled him to get the best of Bludgeon and gun him down. Conflagration Skywarp was also present with the Decepticons at the peace treaty signing at Tyger Pax, which would have put an end to Cybertron's civil war if not for Megatron's dramatic return mid-ceremony. The Age of Wrath

Skywarp was part of the original crew of the Decepticon flagship the Nemesis who attacked and boarded the Autobots' Ark when it departed Cybertron on a quest for energy. The craft crashed on Earth, entombing all occupants for four million years, until they awoke in 1984 to continue their war. More than Meets the Eye #8 The war reached its climax in 1999, when the Autobots and their human allies defeated the Decepticons. Skywarp and the other prisoners were loaded aboard the spacecraft Ark II with the intent that they be returned to Cybertron, but the vessel had been sabotaged by arms dealer Adam "Lazarus" Rook, and exploded mid-flight. Lazarus recovered the bodies of Skywarp and the other Decepticons, and spent the next several years reprogramming them in order to sell them to foreign powers. Prime Directive #5
(thumbnail)
Skywarp and the Seekers care not for following intended Play pattern for their new toys.

In 2002, Megatron was finally able to overcome Lazarus's programming, and proceeded to free his Decepticon subordinates in order to put forward his plans to infect Earth with a metallic virus. To pass the time while preparations for this plan were being put into motion, Skywarp, Starscream and Thundercracker occupied themselves by tearing apart the small Autobots that had also been captured by Lazarus. Prime Directive #3 Once the virus had been unleashed, Skywarp participated in Megatron's attack on San Francisco, where he and his fellow Seekers blew Superion into his component Aerialbots with a cluster bomb barrage. Prime Directive #4

When Megatron was kidnapped by the Keepers and Decepticon leadership was up for grabs, Skywarp began acting more serious and ambitious than his regular "lunatic prankster" persona would suggest. One of the few Decepticons who aggressively refused to follow Starscream in Megatron's absence, Skywarp teamed up with the Reflector trio in an attempt to seize power for himself. He lured Starscream into leaving his new kingdom in Las Vegas and travelling to Hoover Dam. Once there, Skywarp challenged Starscream directly for leadership of the Decepticons. He failed miserably, however; Starscream dealt Skywarp severe damage using his null bolts at close range, then tossed his former wingman over the falls. Skywarp was in stasis lock for some time thereafter, and he begrudgingly chose to serve under Starscream after his repair cycle aboard the Nemesis was completed. Hardwired

When Grimlock and his private army of humans attacked Las Vegas, along with Prowl and Bumblebee, Skywarp was among the Decepticons who charged out to meet them in battle along the Strip. As Thundercracker and Soundwave kept the rampaging Dinobot's attention, Skywarp prepared a delicious, underhanded sneak attack. Diving at Grimlock at full speed, Skywarp planned on unleashing his heat-seeking missiles at near point-blank range for maximum devastation. Luckily for Grimlock, the little Autobot Bumblebee was willing to sacrifice his functionality in order to keep the more powerful Autobot warrior in play and took the full impact of the missiles at the last second. Enraged, Grimlock struck Skywarp with enough force to send him flying miles away into the desert and out of the fight for the immediate future.

Curiously, Skywarp chose NOT to leave Las Vegas with Megatron once the former Decepticon leader returned to Earth. Damaged after his time with the Keepers, Megatron lost a fight with Starscream and was forced to relinquish his leadership to the Aerospace Commander. Still, Megatron refused to serve under Starscream, and he led a revolt of several Decepticons into exile. For whatever reason, Skywarp remained at Starscream's side until the Keepers attacked, possessing Starscream as a host body and caging the rest of the Decepticons still in Las Vegas inside a dome of impenetrable energy. Skywarp assumed command of the remaining Decepticons in Starscream's absence and directed the Constructicons into not attacking the dome directly as Devastator, but digging beneath the energy field to forge a tunnel they could exit through. He also made contact with Megatron's forces outside the city and agreed to wait patiently until the time was right for all the Transformers to assault the Keepers as one.

When the time came, Skywarp "allowed" his Decepticons to join forces with Megatron's, because it was the only "logical" thing to do. During the fight, he blasted the Bluestreak-Keeper with an explosive gamma radiation blast. The attack was effective, but proved moot when the Bluestreak-Keeper fused with the Starscream-Keeper, creating one massive and deformed robotic god figure. In the end, it was Optimus Prime and the power of the Matrix which finally ended the war with the Keepers, diverting the force of a nuclear missile launched by the American government. In the aftermath, Starscream's scrap was salvaged and rebuilt, but Megatron chose to make Skywarp his new second-in-command for a time, mostly just to piss Starscream off. Still, Skywarp certainly saw it as the most "logical" thing to do. Annihilation

In Washington D.C., Megatron and the Decepticons stormed the White House to show their displeasure to the President for trying to wipe them out with a nuclear strike. Megatron assigned Skywarp to deal with the SWAT teams in the streets, then sent him into the skies to join Starscream in shooting down the air support called in by the military. Final tallyStarscream: 12, Skywarp: 5. Sometime later, Skywarp was present in the Nevada desert when the Autobots and Decepticons confronted the United States military. Thanks to their airborne tactics, Thundercracker and Skywarp did significant injury to the troops and survived the deconstructionite assault virtually unscathed. After the Keepers were finally defeated and Starscream had been restored to his normal, irascible self, Megatron chose to restore the status quo and replaced Skywarp with Starscream as his second-in-command yet again. Fusion
Although it's hard to see how, the author(s) of The Transformers Trilogy may have confused Skywarp with Shockwave, or at least combined their roles and personalities into one character. Throughout the Trilogy, Skywarp made repeated references to the "logical" course of action, and once made an oblique reference to his gift over the electromagnetic spectrum. Whether there was actual confusion involved, or if the pick-up writer David Cian was forcing Skywarp to fit a role once Dreamwave's comics made using Shockwave off-limits, is unknown.
(thumbnail)
...so, wait, is he being supervised now, like, in the bath?

When the Decepticons clashed with the Autobots over a crashed Autobot vessel discovered in the Arctic, Skywarp engaged Ironhide, dodging the old Autobot's blasts with his teleporting ability and shooting him in the back. This battle was soon interrupted by the arrival of Shockwave and his army of Triple Changers, who had come from Cybertron to bring the planet's errant sons home. He quickly disposed of Megatron and demanded that Skywarp and the others submit to him. New World Order The Decepticons somewhat begrudgingly assented to return to Cybertron, but upon arrival Skywarp and Thundercracker were amazed at what Shockwave had accomplished in their absence. While relaxing in an energon bath, they debated how to proceed; Thundercracker believed it would not be long before Shockwave demanded they pledge themselves to his cause, but Skywarp didn't care much, advocating they do what they always did and pick the side with the biggest guns. Brothers' Burden
(thumbnail)
For once, Skywarp gets pushed down stairs instead of pushing others

Their tune soon changed, however, when Shockwave's dark schemes were uncovered by Optimus Prime; the two Seekers tried to shut the blast door to the command centre before the Autobot leader could make it through, but they failed, and Prime throttled Skywarp until he coughed up Shockwave's location. Countdown to Extinction Skywarp and Thundercracker then both played possum to avoid fighting further. Starscream passed them on his way to the shuttle bay, intending to escape the planet and return to Earth, and he ordered Skywarp and Thundercracker to accompany him. They complied, and helped him load up the inactive Combaticons aboard a shuttle they hijacked. Revelation

Back on Earth, the Decepticons made it back to the Nemesis and set about scavenging parts to restore the ship to working order. Black Sunshine To this end, Skywarp was part of Starscream's initial salvo against the Autobot base, a decoy to be deliberately taken prisoner in order to draw out the remaining Autobots where the newly reformatted Combaticons could get at them. Night of the Combaticons After decimating the Autobots' ranks, Bruticus freed the fallen Decepticons, and they were about ready to terminate their opponents when the awe-inspiring clone known as Sunstorm emerged from fold-space, looking to have words with Starscream. Sunstorm's "purifying light" induced an energon overload in the Decepticons' systems, knocking them into stasis lock. Black Sunshine Skywarp and the others remained Autobot prisoners until Starscream negotiated a deal for their release in exchange for his aid against Sunstorm. Skyfire
G.I. Joe vs. the Transformers

Skywarp finally plays an actual prank within official fiction!

Skywarp was one of the Transformers reprogrammed to serve the terrorist organization Cobra and was, along with Thundercracker, rebuilt to transform into a Rattler aircraft in the process. Their first mission was to show off Cobra's power by assaulting a peace ceremony in Washington, D.C., and either Skywarp or Thundercracker was the first to reveal his robot mode to the shocked Air Force before wrecking Ace's jet with a single punch. G.I. Joe vs. the Transformers #1

When Wheeljack undid Cobra's reprogramming of the Transformers, Skywarp waited on the runway in Rattler mode until Major Bludd, unaware of the plane's true identity, decided to use him as his ticket off Cobra Island. After causing Bludd some stress by refusing to start his engines, Skywarp revealed himself and told him that he'd rather walk, then transformed, crushing the human to death with his moving innards in the process. G.I. Joe vs. the Transformers #4 He then joined Thundercracker in fighting Sideswipe, Sunstreaker and Cliffjumper, who had also been freed from Cobra's control. G.I. Joe vs. the Transformers #5 Unfortunately, the two Seekers were later caught in the SPS Satellite's rain of energy beams and deactivated. G.I. Joe vs. the Transformers #6
As Skywarp's coloration is identical to Thundercracker's in this series, it's possible that it was actually Thundercracker who killed Major Bludd. However, it feels more like something Skywarp would do.
Transformers/G.I. Joe

Someone teleported all the color away.

Skywarp was among the Decepticons revived by Cobra in 1938. He may have been one of the Seekers driven back by the Aerialbots in the battle of the Fera Islands. Trial by Fire Later, during the Autobots' attack on the Terrordrome, Skywarp was lounging about when he overheard some Cobra troopers talking dirt about the Decepticons. Picking one of the humans up, Skywarp suggested that he be a little grateful that the Decepticons were helping them conquer their filthy mudball of a planet. Before he could finish insulting them, however, Optimus Prime burst out of the ground and beat him up. The Iron Fist

The Beast Within

Skywarp participated in a savage all-out Decepticon offensive against the Autobots. With the Decepticons maintaining the advantage throughout the battle, Skywarp was amongst those who approached a crippled Optimus Prime, ready to dispatch the Autobot leader. Before they could deliver the finishing blow, the Dinobots combined into The Beast, shifting the Decepticons priorities. Skywarp joined several other flying Decepticons in a direct assault against The Beast, to little avail. The Beast then killed him. The Beast Within

Lil Formers

Skywarp watched "Snakes on a Plane" with Thrust and Thundercracker, and was startled by Cobra Commander popping up to ask if the Decepticons wanted to do a cross-over.

At a later time, Skywarp was interviewed and claimed, to put all debates to rest, that it was indeed him who became Cyclonus after being reformatted by Unicron. Bombshell made exactly the same claim.

Later still, Skywarp had a teleportation accident, and appeared as only a head attached to an arm. Lil Formers

Main article: Skywarp (G1)/2005 IDW continuity

In a world where some Decepticons' loyalty to the cause has changed in the wake of modern sociopolitical developments, Skywarp had long remained the Decepticons' loyal resident teleporter. However, after being forced into a revelation regarding his loyalties to Galvatron and with his teleportation power lost for the moment, he would end up joining the human group known as G.I. Joe. After learning that the Joes would not be following through on their promise to restore his teleportation abilities, he betrayed them, recruiting their rogue operatives to help him heal himself. Somehow succeeding, his teleportation powers were quickly called into action when Unicron attacked. Though the plan called for Skywarp to teleport the necrotic Talisman directly into the heart of Unicron, he was wounded saving Thundercracker from the Maximals. Carried back to Earth by his former comrade, Skywarp was forced to admit that Thundercracker was a true Seeker and that sonic booms were cool.

One of these guys is Skywarp, but coloring errors mean it's not the one you think it is!

Skywarp was one of the Decepticons who woke up on mid-19th century Earth, where he took on the form of a spiky airplane with three propellers. In the Decepticons' desert headquarters, Starscream told him about the plans to conquer Earth, and ordered him to fly ahead of the Astrotrain, leading the way towards New York City. Skywarp was concerned that the Autobots might interfere, but Starscream assured him their enemies had not yet awoken. Hearts of Steel #1 Hearts of Steel #2 He was later present when Starscream learned that he was mistaken. Hearts of Steel #3
"Strange Visitors" established that events identical to those of Hearts of Steel and Infestation 2 occurred in the 2005 IDW continuity; however, they happened to Maximal explorers brainwashed by Shockwave into believing they were the Autobots and Decepticons of the Great War.

Alternity
(thumbnail)
Here's a prank: if you ever transform this toy, it breaks instantly! Ha ha ha ha sob.

A Skywarp from an unspecified universal stream was selected by Megatron to become part of his Questor forces. Granted a portion of the hyperdimensional powers that his leader had obtained from the monstrous Hytherion, Skywarp was given a new body with an uncharacteristic sports car alternate mode, a Timaeus drive that granted him the ability to travel through dimensions, and a massively enhanced teleportation power that actually allowed him to warp the fabric of space and time around him. About the only thing that didn't change was his characteristic lack of intelligence and initiative; coupled with the brain-bending complexities of higher-dimensional life and battle, this meant that Skywarp was left still relying on Megatron's specific orders for and when to use his powers.

Skywarp proved his worth when he succeeded in his mission to scour the year 2010 all across the dimensions for a trace of the two-dimensional world of the Planicrons. Precisely what Megatron needed the Planicrons for, Skywarp didn't know, but he recalled a rumor among the Questors that they were key to the destruction of the Alternity, and smirked with excitement to himself as he informed Megatron of his discovery. Hunt for the Planicrons Using Skywarp's information and a magical tablet his other agents had obtained for him, Megatron took control of the Planicrons from his base on Menonia and used them to attack the Alternity. Skywarp was at his side during these events, and was first to notice when Thundercracker, under cover of a distraction provided when Starscream made another fruitless grab for power, deactivated the tablet and freed the Planicrons. Warp is hell.

Skywarp is a Decepticon who resides in Cloud World's Underground. He can teleport over short distances, though this ability uses up a lot of energy.

After suffering heavy damage, he was evolved into a new body by Megatron and became Hellwarp (ШлпьЧ Heruwpu). In this form he's way more aggressive and ferocious than he ever was as Skywarp, though no one knows if this is a side effect of his forced evolution or actually his true nature, which he'd previously suppressed. Armed with the Hellwinder arm-cannon and an upgraded teleportation ability that lets him warp continuously without worrying about energy consumption, Hellwarp is a much more menacing warrior than his past self.

In 1984, Sky Warp was part of Starscream's attack on the British Museum to steal the statue of Amenhotep III, rumoured to have magical powers. When the Autobot minibots arrived, Sky Warp fired a shot at Bumblebee. In retaliation, Brawn picked up some worthless hunk of rock and hurled it into Sky Warp's cockpit, lodging it deep into his internals. When Soundwave endangered several humans, the Decepticons made their retreat back to the Victory where Hook extracted the stone. Sky Warp tried to make sense of the dead languages on the stone but dismissed it as nonsense. At a later meeting of high officers in the war room, Sky Warp used the stone as a paperweight for tacto-film when the Space Bridge threatened to blow them away. In the era of Maximals and Predacons, the stone became known as "The Stone of Sky Warp" and was placed within the Kaon Museum of Decepticon Heritage. Cultural Appropriation

Star Trek vs. Transformers

When World War III consumed Earth, the Decepticons fled the blighted planet aboard Trypticon, trailing the Autobots aboard Fortress Maximus. When the two Titans reached Cygnus Seven, the Decepticons attacked, the battle sending Maximus hurtling into the planet and causing everyone to fall into stasis lock. Eventually, the Federation moved onto Cygnus Seven with a survey team accidentally rousing Maximus's autonomic systems. By random chance, the repair beam first struck Megatron who proceeded to revive the other Decepticons and lead an attack on the surface. The first Transformer to be reactivated when the Ark rebooted, Skywarp reactivated his master and the remainder of the Decepticon army. Let loose on an unsuspecting world, the Decepticons launched a brutal war against humanity's Skywatch, devastating the Earth. After the humans had been defeated, their AI, Skynet continued to fight on. Enemy of My Enemy Part Two In 2029, Skywarp was part of the final attack on Skynet's last stronghold, destroying its HK-Tanks before he was tackled by a T-8000 whose head he promptly blew off. Enemy of My Enemy Part One

To avert the Decepticon threat, a lone T-800 travelled back to 1984 to try and destroy them before they conquered the world. In this new timeline, Skywarp harassed the T-800 with his cannons when it made itself known before it struck him with a discarded Cybertronian weapon. After the Decepticons had fallen back to scout the alien world, they launched an attack on Cyberdyne Systems for its energy production capabilities. Enemy of My Enemy Part Two

After throughly conquering the facility, Skywarp was dispatched to do a perimeter sweep for any resistance. Though initially finding nothing, he soon spied Bumblebee spying on them, teleporting directly behind the Autobot only for his dramatic entrance to alert the scout enough that he managed to revert to vehicle mode. Using himself as bait, Bumblebee tried to have Skywarp crash into Megatron only for the Seeker to teleport back before he could collide with his leader. Before he could resume fire on Bumblebee, he was shot down by the other Autobots. Enemy of My Enemy Part Three

Skywarp had recovered in time to join his fellows in cornering Bumblebee, Arcee and Velocity before Starscream betrayed the Decepticons by shooting Soundwave in the back, a distraction Arcee took advantage of to knock Skywarp into Thundercracker and take both out of the fight. When Megatron was felled, Skywarp was taken into custody by the Autobots only for the Cybertronians to find that the T-800 had remotely detonated Mount St. Hilary and destroyed the Ark. Skywarp served as one of Megatron's Seekers. On a particular patrol, he failed to detect the Autobot Wheeljack and the energon scavenger Bumblebee, both in hiding. However, Skywarp was later part of the team who caught the pair, under the command of Jetfire. A heated debate over how to proceed led to a scuffle between Starscream and Jetfire, with Skywarp taking Starscream's side in attacking Jetfire. However, this brief duel was cut short when Megatron arrived. At their leader's command, Skywarp and the others prepared to execute Wheeljack and Bumblebee; however, the arrival of Optimus Prime and an attack by Elita-1 prevented this. Skywarp was sent in pursuit of the fleeing Autobots, but they escaped. Siege episode 1

Skywarp stood at Megatron's side when the Decepticon leader spoke to the masses and passed along the news that a visitor, soon revealed as Ultra Magnus had arrived. Though Skywarp was ready to shoot Magnus, Megatron ordered the Seekers to hold fire before Magnus surrendered himself for good faith negotiations. Siege episode 2

After Megatron had announced a plan to use the Allspark to reformat the Autobots into Decepticons, Skywarp was part of the crowd that listened to Starscream's speech condemning this course of action before Megatron and Jetfire arrived, breaking up the rally and sending the Seekers back on patrol.

Patrolling alongside Jetfire, Skywarp detected the comm signal of the believed to be deceased Impactor. Arriving at the coordinates, the two found Impactor's discarded comm and Autobot Command. Though Skywarp was eager to report this and call in reinforcements with which to slaughter the rebels, Jetfire felt that annihilation should not be the price of peace, and that the Autobots should be given the chance to surrender. Scoffing that Starscream had been right about their commander, Skywarp began his report only for Jetfire to shoot him in the back. Though critically wounded, Skywarp managed to revert to jet mode, cursing Jetfire as a traitor.

Managing to limp back to Decepticon territory, crash landing near Starscream, Skywarp passed on the news of Jetfire's betrayal but perished before he could reveal the location of Autobot Command. Siege episode 3

Starscream later outed Jetfire as a traitor to Megatron after his execution of Ultra Magnus, citing how Jetfire had murdered Skywarp. Siege episode 4
My Little Pony/Transformers

Skywarp was one of several Decepticons who battled for control of a malfunctioning spacebridge, only to be teleported to Equestria as a result of Queen Chrysalis's magic interfering with the machine. Transformation Is Magic While Megatron had gone off with the changeling queen, Skywarp remained with Starscream and Thundercracker, the three quickly conquering the city of Manehattan. Though initially sent to do rounds, Skywarp was called back into battle by Starscream when Arcee arrived. After Thundercracker had been shot down, Arcee forced Skywarp and Starscream into each other's airspace allowing Rarity to use her magic to tangle them with Starscream's would-be conquering cape. With both jets caught in the fabric, Skywarp simply teleported away, leaving Starscream to make an out of control crash. Shine Like a Diamond
