The book contains 30 new and exciting designs which have been worked on by experienced lacemakers, who have interpreted the designs in their own unique ways. The book will appeal to lacemakers with a sound basic knowledge of the craft, including raised and rolled work, and in particular, lacemakers who wish to develop their individual interpretations of designs, and their awareness of the many different possibilities of working a pattern.The patterns are illustrated with a photograph of the complete work, a pricking, and a diagram of the working order. The written instructions include working notes, a detailed description of the working order, and the fillings used, while special notes after each pattern give help with general technical points specific to that pattern. The appendices include nine fillings that can be found in other lace books, a bibliography, detailed of books and equipment, and sources of information.
