Annecy (French: Annecy [an.si], French-pronounced: `Eneci, Ox. Anec'i), sometimes spelled Annecy, is a city in eastern France. It is the capital of the Haute-Savoie department. Population: 131,700 (2021)[1] inhabitants. It is located on the northern shore of Lake Annecy, approximately 40 km south of Geneva. The Thiou Canal flows through the city, connecting the lake with the Fi`ere River, which forms the northwestern border. Annecy is surrounded by the Veyrier, Semnoz, Tornet and Parmelan mountains.Wikipedia
