This old Post Office in Tyrrell Street, Wallsend was originally built in 1882 and had several mior additions after that.  It was vacted by Australia Post in 1994 when the post office moved to Wallsend Plaza.  The building next to it was a courthouse and police station built in 1878.  The police station closed in ~1990.
