If you feel overwhelmed often, try saying no. It is normal to want to keep others happy, but if you don't know how to say no you will end up stressed out.

Close your eyes and visualize a calm scene. This scene may be different for everybody, but studies show that this is a viable method for reducing stress. Try to remember the last time you felt warm, cozy, happy and relaxed. Put your mind back into that situation. If you can't think up anything, imagine you are a lump of butter, under the hot, soothing sun. Feel yourself melting, melting, until you are totally relaxed.

Stress is a double-edged sword that can cause extreme exhaustion while also causing the inability to fall asleep. To get a good-night's sleep, take a nice warm bath immediately before bed. Relax your body in the water one bit at a time and let your cares drain away with the bath water when done.
