Opera and metal - a symbiosis with problematic spots.

Osnabrück. Classically trained voices are not only stamp of the metal bands. The former frontwoman of Nightwish is one of the exceptions. The audience could convince about this in Rosenhof, as well as the difficulties posed by the operatic voice combined with metal music. Gesticulation firefight with cellist was not only one of metal diva. Her voice goes against her music, when we attach melodic strings through the elegiac guitars sounds virtuosly.

Tarja Turunen acted reasonably relaxed when she could introduce her vocal range in balladic intermezzo. For the hardest metal fans it could be camp fire romance, they just react with the final applause, despite the surprising versatility of soprano who at the beginning of the encore appears in a white dress and with a strong cover version of Bon Jovi's "Livin' On A Prayer" 
Performance of her current single, "Die Alive" brought Tarja Turunen's dilemma to the breaking point. On the one hand, it shows that the symbiosis of fine dramatic opera singing with exaggerated dark metal music can be filled with the pathos of rock music. On the other hand, she lends her great voice lends to a style, which can make optimal use of its possibilities, even though the style itself significantly decreases.
