Dating back to 1997 when Finnish band called Nightwish appeared, millions of people all over the world fell in love with majestic music created and sung by this band. Since then and till 2004 six albums were issued and the songs of the band had become the inherent part of life for thankful and loving fans. We lived by Nightwish, we breathed together with Nightwish... But then in a moment the tale came to the end. Bitter to recollect the 22nd of October 2005 and You also know about this story perfectly well. We asked one another question “Why?” and built conjectures. We had the only thing right in front of us – the open letter and we couldn’t believe in the things written there. The time has passed for all us to finally understand – Tarja and Nightwish will never be together again! That sounded as a sentence…
Then Tuomas announced that Nightwish searched for a new vocalist. We expected for his and the members` of the band choice with impatience. And at last we got these news – the new singer in Nightwish is Anette Olzon (ex-Alyson Avenue). To say sincerely almost nobody heard anything about You and everybody started googling around to find some information. We were looking forward to the new album of Nightwish, perfectly understanding that it will be something another but without any prejudice to the new vocalist. And we got “Dark Passion Play”. It was really another than we got before and the response to this album was quite different. But we armed ourselves with patience. Then there were the concerts… We watched it by youtube, we asked our friends in other countries about them and we made conclusions. But we also perfectly understood how difficult for You was to become the new frontwoman, to work in a new band and sing and act like You never did. It`s a pity, but new shows proved one thing – it was really difficult to You to sing Nightwish songs, especially old ones. We bore in our mind thoughts that in future everything would change, we tried to understand Your mysterious dramatic character on the scene, the way You dressed, and all those strange things You did with your voice… We hardly tried to accept it all in any way, but finally gave up. As the time passed it became more and more clearly for us that You are not the one whom Nightwish needs. Your frequent illnesses verified our doubts – we understood that it had been due to a-go-go schedule of Nightwish concerts and stress to Your voice You couldn’t endure.
Thus, on behalf of us, Nightwish fans, we came to the only adoptable decision - You no longer can be the vocalist of Nightwish. We're sure this will be an equally big relief to you as it is for us! By this letter we tried to explain You the situation and really hope You would understand it and leave Nightwish. We really wish You good luck in your future career and hope You will find Your success and lovely moments in Your life.
