Central World is a seven floor shopping paradise which is hard to miss on a Thailand tour. With more than 500 stores placed in a way to make your shopping experience convenient, Central World offers everything from shopping, dining, to an amazing entertainment and nightlife. You don’t have to go through the hassle of cooking Thai food from scratch as you can find ready-made toppings such as Tom Yum, red curry, green curry at Thailand’s 7/11. All you have to do is buy the packets and heat them up on your cooking pan. Some of the toppings come in powder form and you will have to add some water to it.
It was quite entertaining for me to guess the ingredients. Many restaurants in Taitung serve QQ rice noodles, typically served with ground pork sauce and bonito fish flakes. I tried a couple of restaurants, but in my opinion, Rong Shu Xia has the 台東剝皮辣椒 best rice noodles in town. As you might have suspected from endless rice fields, East Rift Valley in Taitung produces top-quality, sticky, and chewy rice. Public transportation is limited, which means you’ll almost certainly need to rent a motorbike. The site was discovered when the train station was being built in the early 1980s. If you have some time to kill at the Taitung train station, Beinan Archaeological Site (卑南遺址) is pretty much the only Taitung attraction that is within easy walking distance from the train station. Beinan Cultural Park is the largest prehistoric site in the country and is part of the National Museum of Prehistory. According to experts, it used to be a village inhabited by the Neolithic Beinan people.

Following Highway 9 south along the coast from Taitung City, there’s an insanely long stretch of sand at Taimali (太麻里). Although it’s clearly visible from the highway, it’s surprisingly difficult to get down to it. Xiaoyeliu is the first noteworthy stop when heading north on Highway 11, about 10 minutes’ drive north of Taitung city.
Coming to Vietnam, you can easily hear a group of people raising their glasses and yelling as loud as possible “1,2,3 DZO”, which means “1,2,3 cheers”. So if you travel to Vietnam and meet the locals, it’s often a sign of friendship when offered a small shot of rice wine. I don’t have a specific place to recommend for where to buy a bike, but yes, I think it will be easy for you to find a place to buy a bike for cheap.
