What Is It? How To Make It And What To Do With It

Четверг, 01 Августа 2019 г. 23:48 + в цитатник

Our websmaster, who spends a good deal of time in Russia, is a great kefir enthusiast so when Sue Cane (our gluten-free beer expert) offered us some kefir grains to ‘grow our own' I thought he would be very excited. I could have Googled both kefir and raw goats milk, but I was so overwhelmed with this information that I made some assumptions, and they stuck with me for a while before I learned what kefir and goats milk were and the role they played in dog nutrition.
In #HealthHackers episode 14 you'll hear about Shann's unique backstory; her transition from US radio talk show host in San Francisco, to farmer's wife in Wales as she launched her Coconut kefir own company making probiotic goat's milk kefir that was tested by a university and quickly gained a reputation for improving common skin problems among the customers who drank it.

As a result, you should ideally make kefir every day, and each batch should be only as big as the amount of kefir that you want to drink in a day's time.В You don't have to drink all of the finished kefir that day (or even the next day-kefir keeps for a long time in the fridge) but homemade kefir isn't something thatВ you should make a lot of in order to stock up for the future.
Shann is not against antibiotics - she praises them for saving lives, but her research on the human microbiome; the trillions of bacteria inside us, has convinced her how vital it is for us to put some of those good bugs back into our bodies using products like kefir.

For those of you who have never heard of it, kefir is the Superman version of yogurt, a living culture which grows in milk (or water), fermenting the milk to superfood status and, it is said, ensuring for those those who consume it, a long and healthy life… These consumers live mainly in the Northern Caucasus mountain where is believed that the Moslem tribes-people were gifted kefir grains by the Prophet Mohammed.
And today we're going to walk you through exactly how to make healthy gut yogurt at home, using the Luvele. Pasteurised skimmed cow's milk fermented with live quark and kefir cultures. Nourish Kefir drinks are made by fermenting live cultures - known as kefir grains in organic cow's milk or goats milk.
You can turn any milk or even plain water into kefir by adding a culture starter or kefir grains and a natural sugar to feed the probiotic organisms. I personally prefer to use whole raw milk for my kefir, which I've yet to see as an option in a store. Fortunately, KeVita makes an organic, vegan, gluten-free Sparkling Probiotic Drink with four strains of live probiotics in twelve different flavors (Mojita Lime Mint Coconut, here we come!).
