same issue here, in County Town of Kent, been without outlook access since the afternoon of 19 March 2016, thinking it was me or not understanding my new laptop. Yet is seems via iPhone or webmail login is ok. Have not been able to log into my Hotmail account since 1st April. Phoned customer services 3 times only to be met by rudeness, phoned again yesterday and told they would sort it within 30 minutes, it is still not working today.
It is just as easy to set up Evil Twin profiles for any of the other social networking sites, such as MySpace and Twitter. The problem with this is that the social networking sites can't really monitor this type of activity. It is up to you to monitor your own account. One suggestion would be is to search your name once in a while sign up hotmail and make sure that none of these accounts exist. If you find any, you need to contact the social networking site and they will remove the account. So you’ve successfully added an alternative email account and phone number and they can be used to recover the password or username in case you forget them at any point in time.

Thank goodness I’m not the only one. Same problem, can’t sync / download to IOS devices for ONE of my accounts. I have downloaded the outlook app which seems to work, though doesn’t notify me. But at least I have some mobile access. Also works if I log in via the mobile web browser too.
This slows down productivity and quite frankly is just a total nuisance. Signing in to Hotmail was impossible because of an endless loop of confirming password requests. Find msm.com in the list and double click it. msn.com then appears in the Address of Web site box.

Apparently my server password has been changed – was working fine til half hour ago, and nothing is changed. I can’t log into my account either today. The website can’t even be reachable. I never had a chance to type my address. For a week, all incoming email messages are deleted or removed in the Remove folder.
And why should my email be held hostage until you’ve finished doing it? I’m busy, I don’t have time to work my life around your schedule. Been having problems with hotmail logging in, on Mac, iPhone is fine using Mail. Same thing at least the last three months, I haven’t been able to check my mails here, and now I have to go somewhere else and use someone’s else computer to do it. This new version of the inbox is pure bullshit.
Trying to readd the account failed with bad address or password. I keep getting messages that my hotmail account has a failed sign in. Also had a Microsoft message that someone had used my hotmail account from Dubai. No idea what either of these us about. The easiest solution is simply to logon to the outlook.live website directly and select the ‘gearwheel’ icon from the top menu and then ‘Options’ from the bottom of the list.

Log in to Outlook.com with your Hotmail email address and password. If you don't see it, it probably isn't active. You can set up a new Hotmail address. Enter the CAPTCHA code and choose Next to create your account.
The people I have given my outlook.com address to, I don’t want knowing of the other two. This would be why I would want the ability to select which one is seen. I ended up taking it out of the iPhone native mail app & set it up in the Outlook app & its working better, but not great. The Push option is enabled, but not working properly. And it seems to only be with Gmail account.

Hotmail has been down, for me, all week. The screen just says “oops, something went wrong.” I’m getting nervous as I have a trip coming up and airline flight itinerary that I need to access. Hotmail through my Android app works fine. But logging in through the web, it is frozen half of the time the past two days. Everyone else still having problems?
