Ask for a list of references from satisfied customers, commercial or residential. Be sure to call a few of them to find out if the work was done well, on time and, most importantly, on budget. A reference list is nothing but a piece of paper if you don't actually follow up!
Do not assume that the price quoted over the phone will be the amount you are charged once a locksmith arrives. Prices can legitimately change once the locksmith arrives to appraise the situation. However, the price should be close to what was quoted.
