VN History in Painting: Some Pics Related to My Posts...

Here are some pics I liked most (Wuxia, or Teen toon style !), such as: 1. Au Co - the 1st Mother of the nation who defended homeland (Father Lac Long King left for coastland):

2. The 2 Sisters Trung Trac & Trung Nhi - Female Kings (Matriarchy time maybe !); 3. Ms Trieu Thi Trinh, a female heroine; 4. 'Black King' Mai Hac De; 5. King Ngo Quyen defeated Chinese Southern Han navy at Bach Dang River nearby Hai Phong seaport; 6. General Ly Thuong Kiet with his poem to fight Chinese Sung at Cau River nearby Hanoi (Still to come...)


7. General Tran Quoc Tuan defeated Mongol (Nguyen) 3 times (!), including one more battle on Bach Dang River; 8. Yet Kieu plonged in under-water attack to Mongol ships; 9. Princess Huyen Tran in Cham kingdom (Middle VN); 10. Nguyen Trai see off his father at Chinese border after defeat to Chinese Ming; 11. Nguyen Anh and expansion to the South - beginning of modern VN;


12. Emperor Quang Trung (from a peasants' revolt !) attacked Chinese Tsing in Hanoi on Lunar New Year; 13. Female General Bui Thi Xuan died after losing battle; 14. Emperor Nguyen Anh (Last dynasty) wrote the modern name of country; 15. Governor Hoang Dieu died in Hanoi battle against the French; and 16. Tribute to Male and Female Heroes of the country.
