Missing Hanoi: Hoa Su'a, or Flower of Dalbergia tonkinensis Prain

As a song says: "Ha Noi this season is no rain..." - Actually no big rain, only the small n continous one which makes everything so wet... However this weather make the first flower of Hoa Su'a or Dalbergia tonkinensis Prain on its street, like some of these:


- Its flowers are small, a bit fragile and snowly white. They often fall on the soil and make it like a white bed cover:



- Since 2007 upto 2009 or so the Gov has a big headache to protect these threes in Hanoi against illegal trading to China of its precious aromatic wood !!!



- Do not mix it up with "Hoa Sữa", another famous on Hanoi streets, which flowers much later on, in May-June:



- And it's also fun time for young people to enjoy the flower and good weather...:
