History of Katyayani Shakti Peeth

Katyayani Shakti Peeth is located in Vrindavan. This temple is dedicated to Goddess Katyayani. She is a form of Goddess Durga. Katyayani Shakti Peeth is one of the 51 Shakti Peeths of Devi. Shakti Peeth is also called Sati Peeth. When Goddess Sati immolated herself in the fire, Lord Shiva, consort of Maa Sati, felt into a deep grive and carried Mata Sati’s body on his shoulder.
