От такой несправедливости я озлобилась не на шутку. Тия и Настя пытались задвинуть меня на задний план как самую нетрезвую, кивали головами в знак согласия и пытались всё устроить по тихому. Я, кстати, рада что они меня тогда утихомирили. Спорить с полицейскими было бы бесполезно, и чревато очередными обвинениями. После составления протакола и переписывания наших имён под диктовку 3 раза, полицейские прониклись симпатией и пониманием к нашей участи. К сожалению, они не могли оставить дело, но, закончив с протаколом, уходить не собирались. Я не могла стоять больше в шпильках, ушла после начала распросов личного характера.

Полицейская машина уехала от нас через час после неожиданного налёта. Тиа уже хотела было предложить им присесть, тк они втроём ютились возле раковины, рядом с ящиком неначатого пива. Света и ещё некоторые в непонятках сидели за ёлкои всё это всемя, никто из ушедших не понимал почему обычная процедура занимала в 4 раза больше времени. Гости стали разбредаться по домам, потеряв надежду на продолжение праздника.

Поставили нас троих на две probation- то есть под наблюдение без прав нарушений на пол года, заставили писать оправдательные сочинения о вреде алкаголя и смертельных иcxодов от порезов стекла разбитых бутылок. Тие поручили обойди все квартиры и раздать флаеры про пожарнyю безопасность.

Я всё-таки написала appeal и мне простили часть моего вандализма, разрешили не писать

Dear Members of the Judicial Board,

I, Yekaterina Trubitsyna (ID: xxx-xx-xxxx), would like to submit an appeal for my charges of September 25, 2003. I believe that I was charged with violation of Rule 2 incorrectly and therefore should not be held responsible.

On Friday night, September 12, around 10 pm I was walking out of our apartment (WH, Choptank 613) and accidentally knocked down a glass container which was placed by someone on our balcony. I simply did not see it due to the fact that it was already dark outside and in the first couple of weeks the light on the stairs was not fixed. The glass container felled down the stairs, and the fact that I live on the 3rd floor made this matter worse. While falling down it made reasonable amount of noise and broke down in pieces. Our concerned neighbors became alarmed of the situation and incorrectly assumed that someone was engaging in the act of vandalism by throwing bottles from the balcony. By being loyal residents and aware for the life of others they called up a Police as soon as they could. The police arrived 20 minutes later. A little after that RA on duty came up as well, which that night was Jessica Kupper. Police asked us to clean up glass which I was about to do anyway. However, Ms. Kupper assured my roommates and me that she will notify Maintenance personnel and that they will clean it up. This was the only reason I did not go to pick up a glass in the dark right away. My roommate Tia Kaasalainen clearly stated this same fact in her Pre-Hearing Conference with Matthew Soldner and Reagan Sidney which was held on Wednesday September 24, 2003 and was videotaped. The next morning after the accident I walked out at 8am and saw that the glass was still on the stairs. I wend ahead and picked up every single piece.

Ms. Reagan Sidney charged me with violation of Rule 2 (Vandalizm and putting life of others in danger" because I did not picked up broaken glass right away. I did not due so because I was told not to worry about it and that Maintenance personnel would do so. Because of the reasons stated above, I Do NOT admit responsibilities for violating Rule 2 of the Code of Student Conduct. Hence, I truly believe it was unfair to make me feel guilty for my poor acting and to put me on Disciplinary Probation until November 12, Residential Life Probation until December 8, and make me write an Educational Research Paper. By bringing this issue to your attention I hope it is still not too late to look over this matter and reach a more appropriate solution.
