I was informed it was Abraham Lincoln who said, "It is better to remain silent and be considered a fool than to open your mouth and remove all doubt." - ///Don't worry about avoiding temptation. As you grow older, it will avoid you.- Winston Churchill
I went to the doctor for removal of the staples from my incision.
I am feeling better, but not very strong yet.
The doctor will allow me to go back to work on August 29 as of today.
You will be happy to know that Madeline has had her cast removed from her left arm. She is fine now!
We went to Greenfield Village for the Detroit Symphony Orchestra and fireworks again last night. We saw the drum and fife corps, and a couple of tunes from a ragtime band, but then the storm clouds rolled in and everything came to a screeching and very wet halt! It was not going to stop so we left, but not before being soaked through and through!
Before the clouds came it was 96*s F. Not pleasant! But the clouds cooled things off and soon the storm brought hail! Quite a change in temperature!
That is Madeline trying to stay cool!
Then the poor drum and fife corps had to wear these very hot uniforms! They must have been suffering!
Audrey and Madeline with personal fans!
