Russian President Vladimir Putin called the main enemy of Russian society low incomes of millions of citizens, reports TASS.

- In our country, which means that we all have many complex challenges in common.

Our main enemy, the threat to stable development, to the demographic future is the low incomes of our citizens, millions of our people," the head of state said at a meeting with deputies of the State Duma of the VIII convocation.

"In the coming years, we need to form a holistic system of support for families with children from the moment when the expectant mother is still waiting for the baby to appear, and until the child finishes school," Putin said.

He recalled that the authorities have already begun to form this system.

"We are acting in stages, gradually, providing each step with opportunities for unconditional financing," the president said.

According to Putin, "the basic task is to increase the incomes of citizens, create jobs in all regions of the country, further growth of the economy, change its structure, support high-tech industries, remove barriers that still limit the development of small businesses so that people have as many opportunities as possible to improve the well-being and well-being of their families."

The President instructed the government within a month to prepare additional proposals on measures of social support for Russians.
