The Kalashnikov assault rifle is a wonderful example of a truly mass weapon, which can be easily armed with the army. Simple, reliable and effective – it has not just gained its fame. What can I say, the AK-74 is present even on coats of arms and flags.
Of course, like any other popular thing, the Kalashnikov assault rifle eventually began to produce all who are not lazy, including without the appropriate license.

1. China

Produced under license.
At one time, the technology of production of AK came to China directly from the USSR, and quite officially. A weapon called the Type 56 was produced. In the following years, the "Type 81" and "Type 95" models appeared, the quality of which relative to the AKM fell astronomically. This is because these weapons are mainly exported to third world countries, and there are already important quantity and price, not quality and reliability. The more surprising that of all the copies of kalashnikov from China - not the worst option.
2. Iraq

It was very bad.
In Iraq, machine guns were made until 2003, and without a license. According to some reports, the technology of production of the Kalashnikov assault rifle came to the country from Yugoslavia after the collapse of the Soviet Union. Iraqi AQ is something with something. Due to low-quality materials and the lack of corrosion protection, they begin to rust so that very soon the weapon is not saved by any attempts to clean it.
3. USA

The best and worst copies.
To date, in the United States of America there are dozens of manufacturers that produce copies of Soviet machines. As is the case with America in many other matters, here they manage to simultaneously make AK almost better than in the USSR and at the same time manage to make AK almost worse than in Iraq. It all depends on the experience and responsibility of a particular company. The situation with the quality of production deteriorated in 2004, when everyone rushed to replace small workshops that make wonderful custom samples of weapons. However, real connoisseurs still take AK abroad in the countries of the former USSR.
4. Ethiopia

It's not a baton, man.
Bypassing all sanctions, the production of AK-74 was established in Ethiopia (who would have thought) with the help of North Korea. Externally, the machine was very similar to those that were made in East Germany. However, the similarity with the German samples of the Soviet machine ended. As in the case of Iraq, the use of poor materials and the disruption of production technology has led to the fact that Ethiopian machine guns rot faster than fallen apples. Rivets are often placed manually, with the help of a hammer, and not a special machine ...
5. Pakistan

The situation is similar to that in the United States.
The situation with the production of assault rifles in Pakistan resembles the situation with the United States, here they make at the same time excellent and frankly disgusting copies of the Soviet machine. The technology came to Pakistan (apparently) from China. However, unlike America in Pakistan, ak-74s are assembled at state-owned enterprises, and not at all in small workshops. These weapons are characterized by a decent level of quality. Another thing is the illegal production of AK in the "black" workshops. Periodically, there collect such Kalashnikovs that you generally wonder how they function ... Of course, they work for a very short time in 9 out of 10 cases.
