How Mozart won the argument from Salieri with the help of his nose, what famous jokes the composer uttered, who was Wolfgang's first love and seven more interesting stories - in our material.

Mozart lived only 35 years and wrote more than 600 works. He began at the age of 5 and continued to serve the art until the last days of his life. His family was musical: his father was a virtuoso of organ and violin playing, he led the church choir and was a composer at the court of the Archbishop of Salzburg. Wolfgang's older sister, Maria Anna, played piano and harpsichord from early childhood.
His father, Leopold Mozart, covered the harpsichord keys with cloth and taught Wolfgang to play blindfolded. These skills were admired and highly valued.

Until the age of 10, Mozart was afraid of the sound of the trumpet. Her sound was too sharp and loud for the young man's fine ear, so without the accompaniment of other instruments, he could not listen to the trumpet.
The name Amadeus means "beloved by God."
The composer himself preferred to call himself Wolfgang.

Mozart communicated with the great philosopher Johann Goethe when he was 14 years old. Once, after Mozart's performance, the boy approached the composer to express admiration for his playing. He also noted that he himself will never learn so and only poems come to his mind. He was the young Goethe.

Source: tsp.li Mozart had a great sense of humor. Once it was played by a friend: he sent Wolfgang a huge parcel, in which there was only an inscription: "Dear Wolfgang! I'm alive and well!" The recipient was not confused and sent a response in the form of a parcel with a stone inside. It read: "Dear friend, this stone fell from my soul when I received your message!".
Mozart's first love was the famous singer Eloise Weber.
They met in the German city of Mannheim. Wolfgang fell in love immediately. He had to return home to Austria, so the lovers were separated for two years, and when they met, Eloise no longer wanted the company of a composer. Interestingly, Mozart's wife for life was her sister. He said of her, "I have a wife, she's my castle, my mistress, a bunch of my kids and my stable."

Mozart won the argument against Salieri with his nose. The two composers had strong competition, but sometimes they liked to joke. So, Wolfgang Amadeus undertook to play the most complex work on the harpsichord alone. Salieri said that this is impossible, "additional" hands are needed. The composers argued, and Mozart played brilliantly. He replaced the missing fingers with his nose.

In Mozart's opera This Is What All Women Do, or the School of Lovers, the first performer of the role of Fiordiligi was the Italian opera singer Adriana Ferrarese. The composer disliked her because of her arrogance. Very funny he taught her: the aria Come scoglio specifically contains a lot of transitions, and the singer loved to lift her head on high notes and tilt it down on low notes. So, Adriana on stage "chatted her head like a chicken."
The first biography of Wolfgang Mozart was written by the next husband of the composer's wife, Georg Nikolaus von Nissen.
