What is the Significance of Itikaf in the Month of Ramzan?

Пятница, 09 Июня 2023 г. 20:10 + в цитатник
The month of Ramzan is the crowning irony of the Islamic lunar calendar. Every year, Muslims welcome this holy month with renewed fervour. They observe the fast, getting up at Sehri, praying, reading from the Holy Quran, and making Dua during Iftar, among other things. This month culminates in the Muslim holiday of Eid ul Fitr.

The Holy Quran was revealed during the holy month of Ramadan. During the final Ashra of Ramadan, Muslims spend the final ten days of the month fasting in a mosque, a practise known as Itikaf. Until the Shiwal moon is visible, they remain fasting within the mosque, where they also offer the prayers and Tarawih, where they also sleep. With the help of 5 Star Umrah Packages 2024 from London with Hotel and Flight, several individuals take part in this ritual at the Holy Cities in Saudi Arabia. Let's examine the meaning of Itikaf in the passages that follow.

Itikaf Significance

Because He would devote His final 10 days to worshipping Allah alone and avoiding human contact, the practise of Itikaf is considered a Sunnah of the Holy Prophet (PBUH). According to Hazrat Aisha (R.A.),
In the last 10 days of Ramadan, before He was taken by Allah, the Huge and Majestic, Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH) would do Itikaf. (Bukhari)

Hajj and Umrah – Reward

Itikaf is for those who cannot afford the full cost of the Hajj or Umrah but yet wish to make the pilgrimage. Hadith states that
As the saying goes, "He who perceives the 10 days Itikaf during Ramzan will attain the reward of two Hajj and two Umrah." (Bayhaqi)

Hell, Fire Protection – Reward

The Holy Prophet (PBUH) said, "Whosoever for sake of Allah did even one-day Itikaf, Allah would keep him away from Hell by ditches." This means that if you perform the Itikaf in the latter days of Ramzan, you will be protected from the hell fire. (Tabarani)

Complete the Sunnah of the Prophet (PBUH) by carrying it out even on the day of Itikaf. Allah rewards those who do this greatly. Allah is Benevolent and Great. Keep fasting during Ramzan and all other times of the year to earn Allah's favour.
