Topic: referring to the future (ahead)

Here are the answers to the test exercise.

Topic: referring to the future (ahead)

You never know what may LIE AHEAD, so it is always good to make plans for the future. If you're
an employer, you need to PLAN or THINK AHEAD so that your company continues to make money, and
if you're an employee, you need to THINK or PLAN AHEAD in case your employer is not good at
predicting the future!
However, the future is often unclear and unpredictable. When we LOOK AHEAD, we don't always see
things clearly - it's a bit like driving in the fog in Britain. But this doesn't mean that we
shouldn't look! Sometimes a little forward planning can make all the difference. If you know
you're going to have a busy day tomorrow, do some of the work today; if you think you won't be
rich when you retire, start paying towards your pension now; and if you don’t like carrying
heavy bags when you travel, SEND them AHEAD before you leave!
