Lysine HCl 500 mg GPH Capsules contain 500 mg L-lysine hydrochloride in a hard gelatine capsule.

This essential amino acid is found in large quantities in muscle tissue. Most grain products lack L-lysine, which is why they are not biologically valuable proteins. It is also present in the form of hydroxylysine in collagen, trypsin and chymotrypsin.

Normal L-lysine metabolism is dependent on a wide range of nutrients, such as vitamin B2, vitamin B3, vitamin B6, vitamin C, L-glutamic acid, iron and zinc. Its physiological effect consists in stimulating the growth hormone (the so-called fountain of youth).

It supports wound healing, strengthens the body's defenses and, in particular, promotes the healing of fever blisters (herpes simplex) and is important for the provision of energy. L-lysine is part of the body's own L-carnitine, the substance that transports fat into the cell and thus makes fat burning possible in the first place.

In combination with vitamin C, L-lysine is important in preventing vascular calcification. This was one of the last great discoveries of Nobel laureate Linus Pauling.

L-lysine is not of animal origin and is produced by fermentation. Fermentation is the industrial refinement of plant raw materials through enzymatic processes. The
gelatine used in the hard gelatine capsules is BSE/TSE-tested pharmaceutical gelatine.

Ingredients:
L-lysine hydrochloride (74%); Excipients: liquid paraffin, silicone oil; Separating agent: talc, magnesium salts of fatty acids; Binding agent: corn starch; capsule shell; Gelatin; Colorants in the capsule shell:
