Active Ingredients

Phlogenzym^® is composed of three plant-derived active ingredients:

Bromelain – a pineapple protease that helps in protein digestion. It alleviates pain & inflammation by decreasing the bradykinin and prostaglandins (PGE-2) level

Trypsin – a proteolytic enzyme that degrades proteins and promotes the rapid breakdown of inflammatory metabolites and helps remove debris.

Rutin or Rutoside – is a flavonoid derivate that strengthens blood vessels and helps them heal. It also acts as an anti-oxidant.

Mechanism of Action:

Phlogenzym^® resolves inflammation and pain by indirectly inhibiting the biosynthesis of adhesion molecules (cytokines) and hyperactive immune cells (T cells) that invade and damage the bone and cartilage by releasing oxygen radicals. It reduces inflammation, pain and edema and increases mobility and activitiy.
