Otrivin is a double-acting catarrhal preparation. Otrivin with its moisturizing formula reduces exudate, prevents dryness and irritation of the nasal mucosa and does not impair the function of the cilia.

Otrivin composition:

active substance - xylometazoline hydrochloride. One ml of solution contains 1 mg of xylometazoline hydrochloride

The other ingredients:

benzalkonium chloride, disodium edetate, sodium dihydrogen phosphate dihydrate, disodium phosphate dodecahydrate, sodium chloride, sorbitol 70%, hypromellose 4000, purified water.

OTRIVIN Action:

Preparation of sympathomimetic, especially receptors and -Adrenergic. When applied intranasally, it narrows the dilated blood vessels of the nasopharyngeal mucosa, reducing congestion and inflammation. It reduces swelling of the nasal mucosa, facilitates the drainage of the paranasal sinuses and nasal breathing, and increases the outflow of secretions. The effect of the preparation begins a few minutes after application and lasts for up to 10 hours. The specially designed composition of the preparation (moisturizing formula) prevents drying and irritation of the nasal mucosa.

OTRIVIN Indications:

Rhinitis caused by a cold or allergic rhinitis and sinusitis. Supportive in otitis media and during nasal endoscopy.

Pregnancy and breastfeeding:

Should not be used during pregnancy. There are no data on the safety of use during breastfeeding.

Otrivin dosage:

Preparation 0.1%. Adults and children over 6 years of age: 2-3 drops 3-4 times a day or 1 dose of spray into each nostril.
