Women's Handball Goal Scorer Kang Kyung-min: "Second Olympics, Anticipation Rather Than Nervousness"
I am looking forward to the second Olympics rather than being nervous, and I think it will be fun, said Kang Kyung-min (27, SK Sugar Gliders), the women's national handball team's goal scorer, on the 12th through the Korea Handball Association about her thoughts on challenging the 2024 Paris Olympics.
Kang Kyung-min is a center back who has won the MVP and scoring title three times in the domestic league.
This is his second time on the Olympic stage, following the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.
Kang Kyung-min said, "At the Tokyo Olympics, there were no spectators due to COVID-19, and I was nervous because it was my first time playing against European players after being selected as a national team member." 파워볼실시간
He added, "This time, I'm more excited than nervous, and I think it'll be fun."
The experience gained from the European training camp in June further boosted Kang Kyung-min's confidence.
Kang Kyung-min said, "I learned a little bit about what kind of play or defense we need to have against European players by directly experiencing it," and "I think it's worth a try if I improve and learn more."
He is also looking forward to his teamwork with Woo Bit-na, who has been competing fiercely in the domestic league.
In the Shinhan SOL Pay 2023-2024 Handball H-League that ended last April, Kang Kyung-min led the team to victory and received the championship MVP.
However, the regular league MVP went to Woo Bit-na.
Kang Kyung-min said, "I've played with Woobitna for the first time on the national team, and there are some difficult parts and some parts that I'm good at," and added, "I think I can show the kind of play that the fans want if I practice well during the remaining period."
He continued, "I hope we can pass the preliminaries and make it to the quarterfinals," and added, "I think we can even be greedy for the semifinals."
The national team is receiving a lot of attention because only women's handball is going to Paris among the ball sports.
Kang Kyung-min said, "I heard that our match is the first match for the entire Korean team," and added, "I'll make sure to show a good match, so please cheer us on a lot."
