New Hampshire Lottery Commission revokes Andy Sanborn's gambling license, Concorde Casino ends business effective Jan.

Суббота, 07 Сентября 2024 г. 09:15 + в цитатник
The Concorde Casino, owned by former state Senator Andy Sanborn, who is accused of using funds fraudulently secured by COVID-19 relief credit to purchase luxury cars, will officially close on Jan. 1 next year. However, according to the New Hampshire Lottery Commission's decision to open to the public on Dec. 28, it can reopen in six months if it is officially sold to a new individual or new owner.

Former senators are not eligible to participate in the state's charitable gaming business model:

In August, the committee formally attempted to revoke the senator's gaming license. However, he appealed the decision and asked an independent investigator for a hearing. The aforementioned hearing was also held before December, with the final decision officially announced on December 27.

In this regard, the former senator is a Republican from Bedford who said his aforementioned casino is within the scope of Concord's sports bar and grill draft. He wants to officially open a much larger charity gaming facility a few miles away.

Nevertheless, the commission insisted on revoking his existing gaming business license. His main reasons were that he unfairly secured federal funds, made false statements about how he used them, left no accurate record overall, and paid himself large rents.

Survey:

The investigation found Sanbon fraudulently secured $844.000 in funding from the Small Business Administration between December 2021 and February 2022. Since the charity gaming facility and casino were not eligible for these credits, Sanbon removed the facility name (Concord Casino) from its application and cited its main business activities as "other services," officials said.

He is accused of paying $80,000 for a Ferrari for his spouse and $181,000 for two Porsche racers. He also paid more than $183,000 for rent at the Concorde facility, according to investigators.

The aforementioned hearing investigator Michael King said it was not within his jurisdiction to determine whether a credit application was dishonest about his decision. But he also said filling out an application with "clearly false and/or misleading information" was enough to officially revoke his license because it "undermines public trust in charity games." It also dismissed Sun's claim that the aforementioned cars were not purchased with credit, saying there was a "straight line" from receiving credit to buying cars. He then pointed out that all three cars were made in the United States, breaking the terms of credit.

According to AP News, the revocation was not appropriate because other licensed companies were given the opportunity to officially sell their businesses before cancellation and suspension.   안전한 카지노사이트

Absent the hearing:

The former senator did not appear at the hearing due to medical appointments and did not immediately respond to requests for comment. His lawyer also argued that the statewide incident was caused by poor investigations into COVID-19 relief credit and unfounded claims.

When the allegations emerged in August, federal authorities were informed and the state formally launched a criminal investigation, officials said.
