Central Paris photo tour

Суббота, 19 Декабря 2009 г. 12:46 + в цитатник
From Louvre to Arc de Triomphe, but not by the Champs-Elysйes...

Rue Rйaumur, surrounded by typical parisian office buildings:

Parisian metro has several entrances right in buildings, but I think that this sign at Sentier station is quite unique:

Some side streets between rue Rйaumur and boulevard de Bonne Nouvelle:

We reach boulevard de Bonne Nouvelle near from the famous (for parisians) Rex cinema.

Approaching the stock exchange:

Gardens like this one are quite rare in the 2nd arrondissement...

Rue du Faubourg Saint Honorй, known for its luxury shops:

Reaching Pont Alexandre III:

This bridge is a gift of the russian tsar Alexander the 3rd to France (typical bateaux-mouches comment ).

We are now on the left bank.

Back on the right bank...

Now we're approaching the Champs-Elysйes:

Avenue Matignon : here are the AXA insurance company headquarters:

Leaving the business district, now more residential streets:

Reaching Parc Monceau's beautiful fences:

I quite like the southern 17e arrondissement because of the neorenaissance buildings.

We return to a more crowded district.

A view towards La Dйfense:

A gated community:

Office building on Avenue Hoche, leading to the Arc de Triomphe:

Avenue matignon, home to the prime minister; here are AXA insurance company headquarters:

Prime Minister doesn't live in Avenue Matignon but in the Hotel Matignon, which is Rue de Varenne, on the left bank near les Invalides and the Rodin museum.

There is l'Hotel Matignon

And there is la Rue de Varenne; it's a norrow street without a lot of shops because many Embassies or Ministиres are located there.
