I watched Taipei 101 rise on my first visit to Taiwan in 2003. Now that it's complete, I was very excited to go up, even though the price was a bit steep.












Unfortunately the weather during my 3 week visit was horrible.













































































Taipei is also a hilly city.
























I've never seen a damper myself, and the 101 damper was fully open for public viewing. Quite an amazing structure.




































There is also an outdoor observation deck, which was a bit scary because of the wind. The wind was so strong it resonated around the metal structures, playing a rather eerie song.
