Perhaps you have neglected portion of one's dressage check and by making an "problem of course" missing those winning scars in a test? I bet you know it's a pretty lousy feeling when this happens... So, how will you ensure you remember your test? What is your technique of learning your tests? Can you drive it each day the week before your competitors is on? Whichever way you've learned your checks so far, I'n prefer to introduce to you a strategy that may not merely cause you to remember your check inside out, but in addition assist you to train your self mentally and improve your performance! The method is named Visualization. Many sportspeople have no doubt found out about visualization before or even tried saying an effective performance. Visualization is nothing clever or weird; we do it every day to operate these days - to do whatever you first need to 'imagine' your self performing it. But just considering good or imagining your self earning is different from employing good mental imaging to enhance sports performance.
 
The reason why visualization could be this kind of enormous resource to your teaching is really because it lets you practice without error. It requires everyday repetition, a targeted, focused state and an atmosphere without the diversion to maximize the main benefit of visualization to enhance your activities performance. It's proposed to restrict visualization exercise to 5-10 minutes when first start, gradually increasing practice time for you to that which you feel confident with - probably 20-30 minutes.
 
Therefore, let's begin!
 
1. Relax in a direct reinforced comfortable seat and shut your eyes. You might do a peace exercise beforehand or simply let the human body to feel entirely relaxed while your brain stays attentive and focused.
 
2. Either know your dressage test by heart or have some one study it out for you very slowly (another solution would be to report your personal voice when studying the try very gradually!). Now envision your favorite Dressage rider - your idol (Isabelle Werth, Steffen Peters, Anky Vehicle Grunsven or whoever you appreciate most) - riding your horse in your dressage test. Imagine seeing the check as a spectator, as your idol functions the test in your horse without any errors.
