If you are hungry, you will find it nearly impossible to resist if it is sitting in front of you. Chips are full of salt and the butter or fat in the bread or biscuits, will sabotage your weight loss efforts.
Since people with weight problems have been rewarding themselves with food for so long, when you do reach your weight-loss goal, you need to reward yourself with something that isn't food. You will need to learn, over time, how to reward yourself in non-food-related ways. For example, if you lose 10 pounds of your 30-pound goal, you can tell yourself you'll go to the movies with your friend (and skip the popcorn).
As you continue on your path to accomplishing your goals, do not lose sight of the things you have learned here. They can be useful, no matter what path you ultimately choose to achieve your best body. Remember to seek all information available to build a better you, because you are worth it.
